Midnight, lol! well a username can come from another forum, or work related. Has I wrote on here yesterday:- If it is a thread that has been going on for some time and getting out of hand then there is time to discuss. That is unless it gets very bad. It’s a pity, but Snuffbox had his own agenda.
Yes he certainly did. Nothing personal but I’m glad he’s no longer a moderator. His behaviour was making other forum members mistrust us and ultimately would have driven people away. It was a good call by Alex.
midnight, do I remember correctly, your username is a band? I hope snuffbox hangs around, even if you gets a different username and asumming he keeps a low profile, of course. He whispered to me several times about my comments, being “not family” I told him this wasn’t a family forum, the subject being tobacco. Several other members basically made the exact same comments later on. I think no matter what, majority rules, with Alex having the final say of course.

I was just thinking Alex; Snuffbox was two hours ahead of us in the UK and only 1 hour ahead of yourself, so no big problem there. But maybe we need to look for someone, say in Australasia to monitor for you. Remember the other week when that Chinese Spammer came on.
Thinking again, Bentonent (something like that) A fellow countryman of yours Alex,out in Korea. Or is he too busy.

Bentonente (which means “concrete dug” btw), isn’t around on a regular basis. Last checked by at the end of April.
@ Alex, Australasia is vast, but not many snuffers. But I found two snuffhouse members Ausmike Joined January 2008 and a new member ‘Mongrel’ joined 3rd of this month. Maybe Mongrel is to new, and needs to be tracked for a time. Before he’s invited as a mod.

I don’t think its wise to apoint someone who has just joined, for all we know we will have to moderate him!
We will see if another moerator is necessary. Let’s just take our time.

Thanks Alex, and and an appeal to the rest of the guys: lets go easy on this and only use our status in the most pressing occasions. I don’t doubt you will, I’m just reinforcing the message is all. I see this as an honour to be asked to moderate and am treating my new found ‘powers’ with a lot of respect. If I don’t sink or close anyone in the next year I will be extremely happy!
I just thought we needed someone down-under to monitor while Europe sleeps. Ok not many members out there but there was a spammer from China the other week that could have been sunk, long before Alex could do the job. We have to sleep.
We definitely have to sleep, yes. 
I will keep my eyes open to potential moderators from the east.

Snuffbox just emailed me to deactivate his account. He couldn’t except being voted off for expressing his opinion. I followed his will and told him to keep in contact.
Kind of sad really. As I said before, hopefully he open a new account with a different username and lurk or comment occasionally. I thought he contributed a lot, before he became a moderator.
