you’d better hurry, bob. xander doesn’t do well with suspense.
Friday that’s when I’ll know for sure. Cause that’s when I’ll be placing my next order.
I just took a pinch of the Fresco. It’s a little spicier then the Straubinger is. Mmm good tobacco! The physical softness and the light weight of the flakes are very appreciable. I haven’t been shopping lately but there still may be a difference in bag sizes for those two. That might help you decide.
Well at least I know either way I’ll be happy with it so that’s good.
Well if no one orders the last of the one I now know which one I’am going to try.
Straubinger Schmalzler is the one. Gonna find out sometime soon. Order has been made.
also trying some ntsu black. Not gonna dry it out first either.
bob Open the tin, and with out smelling it, immediately grab a copiously large pinch and ram it home. I tried it, and about fell over. I Love South African snuff!!!
Did I mention we just got a load of this back in stock finally? Also stocked the 100g bags for you Straubinger Schmalzer connoisseurs. See here if you are interested: Mr Sternecker’s Fine ConcoctionsThanks Dave
I can’t wait to try it. I’ll definatly tell everyone what I think when I try both. The other snuffs on my order are some of my longtime favorites (ones I should order in bulk when I can).
Dave, is the Sternecker Fresko available in 100g bags too?
@Alexander Ghaffari: I tied to get 100g bags in the full line but only the echt fresco was available. Maybe next time. Sorry. Dave
It is alright, I just buy 200g at a time (at least that much), and it seems to be considerably cheaper in the 100g bags than buying a bunch of 50g bags. I have a big order for you Dave, I just need to make the money to pay for it, hahaha.
Just got my Mr. Snuff order today. Nice packaging. I have to say I love all the snuffs I’ve got. Four of them are standards for me. The two new ones are both the bomb. Staubinger is great. Not as coarse as I thought it would be but I have to admit it’s awesome. Very oily and wonderfull. Ntsu is also great. If you haven’t tried this one you’re missing out. From what I can tell its more earthy then most schmalzers but still has a raisiny fruitness that isn’t in your face but definatly in there. I get mainly a tobacco scent but very modified in a kind of nutty way. Reminds me a lot of what toasted nuts smell like when they’ve just been in the oven long enough to release aroma. It sits comfortably in the nose. Even though it feels filled up with snuff it’s not very clogging like I assumed it would be. Plus it blows out really easily too. Wonderfull snuff for sure.
