Lazy Cowgirls - Tappin’ the Source Bobby Bland - Two Steps from the Blues Kinks - Kontroversy
^^I’m loving my Kinks remasters. Kontroversy has 4 bonus tracks. It makes collecting Kinks material so much easier!
Indeed, specially considering how many of their best sides ended up in EPs and are now conveniently appended to the LPs. My only complaint with the reissues is that some of them use the stereo masters (Something Else, Arthur, maybe even Face to Face if I remember right). Nothing beats the mono mixes of the era, when the stereo version was really an afterthought without much, if any, involvement from the band or producer. For anyone willing to take the trouble and still in possession of a turntable, the original Reprise mono LPs are surprisingly easy to find and go for a lot less than you would think.
“here ya go d diggity dave http://www.thisisnewfoundlandlabrador.ca/” Damn that’s great Fischy! Thanks!
@bruteforce&ignorance: good points. Last I checked a few of the remasters contained both stereo and mono versions. Village Green Preservation Society had a rather large size (re) re-release. I haven’t checked back in awhile to see what’s new.
True, Village Green has both mixes in the 3 CD behemoth version.
Not a prob at all Dave…that’s pretty much all I’ve been listening to lately while on the internet…really nice mix of music!
Newfoundland Labrador. What an awesome radio station.
Pearl Jam today @ work
A noise track I recorded awhile ago. The trick with noise is to imply a melody or something like that.
Bitcrush, all day. Im gonna work my way through his whole discography and then move on to his labelmate SubtractiveLAD. all a great crossbreed mixture of ambient music, shoegaze and crunchy glitchy electronica…blissful day for me
