Sometime in the fall something “clicked” in my brain and I can’t seem to get enough baroque music. Vivaldi has so much emotion in his work… Its fantastic. I think those upstart kids Mozart and Beethoven and everything since that new fangled device called a piano have made a real mess of things. Seriously, its good stuff, and you guys who get distracted by music, I have the same issue, but I can listen to some (but not all) classical and also be able to work. In metal, I had my socks knocked off by Archaic Revival. In neo-pyschodelia, I’m discovering My Morning Jacket. Plenty of other stuff too. I like my music like I like my snuff: a wide variety of styles, but fall deeply in love with a few shining examples of each style.
@Xander I like how you compared music and snuff. That is about spot on for me as well. My CD collection is wide variety spanning all genres with the exception of country-western (where my only loves are Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard aside from those I just don’t have any taste or love for country) and there some that I listen too nearly daily like I snuff Indian snuff almost daily and then there are those ones for satisfying the occasional odd craving in the same manner as snuffing US scotches. Then there are those masterpieces that I absolutely obsess over to the point where I will only listen to them in the right setting, right mood and right circumstances so as to never have a bad memory or negative feeling become associated with this beloved song, like the Dholakia limited Orange that I only snuff under the right conditions because it is to me, nearly perfect and I can never get it again once it’s gone. I really liked that comparison Xander, it was quite fitting. First song of the b-day- Guns and Roses “Estranged”
Junky Vs DemonDubz Vol 11 (JunkyzJellyMix) dubstep mix. Dubstep…it’s not a genre, it’s a lifestyle!!!
Alcatrazz- Hiroshima Mon Amour Sinners and Saints- Phillip Pickett and the New London Consort Alice in Chains- Bleed the freak
Mars Volta…probably for the majority of the day. Been listening to their discography since this stuff with my wife happened One of the most underrated and talented and unique bands I ever became obsessed with
@The Nose Knows I happen to share you obsession with TMV, I’ve been a devoted fan since seeing Inertiatic ESP on MTV2 all those years ago. It puts me in a unique situation since I’d never even heard of ATDI until about 2007 and to this day their previous incarnation is not something I’ve visited with much gusto. They’re something special though, greater than the sum of the parts.

FT, Well, you can thank Master Snuffhead on that one. My first love is old country/bluegrass/hill music from 1900-mid 1950’s. But I also enjoy anywhere from Ramones to early Mozart piano concertos to ZZ Top and Rush to Gordon Lightfoot…so even I haven’t figured myself out ,really.
here ya go d diggity dave http://www.thisisnewfoundlandlabrador.ca/
