W. E. Garrett Sweet

I’m on my second tin of this. I find it very pleasant, sweet, not a complex flavor, but a basic tobacco scent with only a bit of smokiness. As Xander noted, it has a very nice sweet throat drip. If it hits the back of the throat, it can make you cough, but afterwards that sweetness will remedy the situation. This is the only American Scotch available in my small Colorado town. I buy it at the local head shop, where the owner told me he ordered it some women house painters who can’t smoke on the job. At first pinch, I did not like it very much. But I kept on trying it, even mixing a little with some Super Chetak, which toned both down and made them both better in my opinion. Now, I find myself reaching for it daily, albeit in small doses. I live on a horse ranch, and I agree with the above poster that it is similar in smell to horse feed. Not hay, but the feed that comes in 50 lb. bags. Quite nice!
