Z_2K that’s the perfect amount of time for it to last, because then you can have another pinch! when i snuff F&T, it seems to last forever, which is not good if I want to snuff a different flavor.
Rest assured there is no bigger fan of Toque than myself, Pieter. All continued success to him!!
Herzll - just pure interest from someone who is fascinated by snuff. We have all been on the friendliest terms with Roderick ever since he started Toque and know that he would never divulge anything detrimental to his business. At the end of the day I am just an interested consumer, not a competitor, expert or industrial spy! I don’t think there’s any ‘noive’ involved when it comes to asking about a product you are buying! Easpecially when the hard hearned cash is light on the ground!
It’s all good. My interpretation of such a question is no reflection of his perception. As I said in another context, I’m somewhat formal, a life-long student of etiquette, and certainly recognize that those notions are archaic to many. Admittedly, I don’t know a lot about the process of being a snuff manufacturer, beyond what I’ve read, but tend to relegate some disclosures to voluntary, but not appropriate to put the person on the spot by asking. A matter of style perhaps. If he chooses to answer your question in this public forum, I’ll stand humbly corrected and beg your pardon. Thank you for your understanding and forbearance.
Herzl, as I said don’t forget this is a public forum and the questions we ask of each other, especially our great experts like Roderick, are what makes it so interesting. Rest assured that Rodercik is a well loved member and is not about to be put under any pressue to divulge his industrial secrets. In my view a consumer always has the right to ask questions when he is buying a product - thats how it should go across the entire economy and I buy a lot of Toque products. Your sense of etiquette and formality are laudable and entirely your affair, but surely that extends to not criticisising a harmless question, because it does not accord with your own views on how we should conduct ourselves? Thats appears as little more than arrogance. Are we to expect an intervention from you whenever a comment does not meet with your approval? By the way, Roderick was kind enough to speak privately to me about this - an action that is entirely in character with him. You have my forebearance, my understanding is, I am afraid, not so complete KIndest Regards Nigel
actualy if roderick doesn’t print the whole reciepe book here with the addresses of all his bussiness contacts we are going to start calling him stinky head!!! Hows that for pressure??? Of course I’am kidding we can come up with a meaner name then that.
Isn’t this how the plot for Soilent Green got started?
mmmm, Soilant Green, yum.
That could be the new Toque flavor. Just need to find a crematorium supplier for the base.
Hmmm, would be a nice name for a Halloween snuff.
Clockwork Orange too. Mind the cogs.
Well hell, might as well get a “new car” scented snuff while we’re at it.
I’ve never head of Soylent Green, so I looked it up. Sounds like a really cool movie. I’ll have to rent it.
70’s charlton heston is great. i love the perpetual grimace.
Brilliant movie. The novel is even better (Make room! Make room!)
I’ve placed my order with Roderick for 25g tins of Berwick Brown, Lime Toast and Natural Toast. Oh Lord, when is this madness going to stop? Ordering more and more and more. But then, how can I live without tasting this new snuff? I’ll die little by little, every day.
how do i order this new snuffs? I have a order waiting to be shipped! about to make another one!
On the panel on the left of the Toque web-site towards the bottom is categories, Click on Tins then either 10g or 25G. You’ll find both the Berwick Brown & Line Toast both now listed.
Can’t find the Natural Toast in anything but 10g tins though
@Tony, I phoned Roderick this afternoon about this problem. He can’t get the 25g tin on the system. So I ordered a tin of normal Natural and sent him an e-mail to tell him it’s the Natural TOAST I want.
