@xander The first snuff box I ever made was made from a hickory kitchen cabinet door that my wife rejected back when we remodeled our kitchen and has an Indian Head penny in it. I was using it recently and as much as I like it I wondered why I never used coins for other people. Though I’m not typically taking any custom orders at this time I think it would be possible to do this for you. The main reason I started the site is to be able to offer more variety in lesser numbers and get back to working personally with the people buying them. In this case it just depends on the size of the coin, the size of the box, and if I have the right size bit to make the hole. Then I could easily put it into any of the boxes that are already made and otherwise ready to go. You can reach me through the contact form at woodensnuffbox.com and we’ll discuss the details if you’d like. -Patrick
I just got a Padauk box with the Indian Head penny inlaid on the lid and it looks super classy. Patrick really does make the best snuff boxes out there, fit and finish are outstanding. Whenever I go out I always carry at least one of his boxes with me, usually a triple- tech cause they are the most versatile. Great boxes that will last me a lifetime as long as I don’t lose them.
@willc Glad you like them. And thank you to all that have helped support my snuff box endeavors. I hope to have some more soon.
I hope some of the new ones are zebrawood triple tech. Looking forward to getting one
