Patrick Collins boxes

Is there a place to look for a good selection of Patrick Collins snuffboxes? I have a cherished two compartment box by Collins. and would love to see more options.

@Asherael check out woodensnuffbox.com

@asherael This looks good http://snuffgear.com/ Think I will get a couple for my pocket. Tripletechs for me .

thanks so much!

Yes, The Wooden Snuffbox http://woodensnuffbox.com/ Any comments on the tightvac? Looks like a good thing.

I should have some singles done in a week or so. Just getting final coats of laquer. A variety of teak, padauk, zebrawood and birds-eye maple. Been getting a lot of requests for the zebrawood. And haven’t done birds-eye maple in a few years now.

@onefortheroad you’re P.C.? I love what you do, your boxes are phenomenal. I’ve had my two compartment box in my pocket every day I’ve snuffed for the last…many…years. It really is perfect. I’m very excited to get my hands on one of the tripletech models.

@asherael Yes. I’m Patrick. thanks for the compliment. what kind of double do you have? Just curious. I think may faves were the walnut but I sold them all and didn’t keep one for myself. The piece of wood I used to make them varied from dark heartwood to light sapwood and made it easy to distinguish one side from the other without needing any inlays. Don’t know if I’ll ever be able to repeat those. I do plan to do some more doubles and tripletechs soon though.

A single in bird’s eye maple would be high on my must get list!

A Triple Tech in bird’s eye maple would be high on mine

@onefortheroad I’m not good at identifying woods. It’s a reddish tone, with the black and white double diamond inlays. I like bird’s eye maple, but love tiger maple, but don’t know if the pattern would really show up on this scale. My fiancee says if I’m very good, and do all my chores, she’ll let me order more boxes from you as rewards

@onefortheroad - Patrick, is there any chance of a traditional flip lid snuffbox? I think I’m right in saying that there are none made new these days. McGaheys have a few left it seems but when they are gone it will be the used market only. Your slide boxes are great but a traditional would be something else - I have no doubt they would sell as fast as you could make them. I would be happy to field test any prototypes.

@onefortheroad You do great work, havent purchased one of your yet, its on my Christmas list though!

I’ve noticed that birds-eye looks better and better with age, as they darken it enhances the appearance. @n9inchnails No promises but birds eye tripletech isn’t a bad idea at all. Just not sure if I have any more around. @ashereal Your double must be a padauk. Maybe I’ll try tiger maple some day but I’ll need a very highly figured piece to get the proper effect on such a small item. @abraxas abraxas? who the heck is abraxas? I’ll have to ask snuffster and see if he knows. I haven’t given up on a flip lid just yet, and I know you’ve mentioned it before, so I will make sure you’re the first to try out any prototype if I ever get that one off the ground!

@abraxas abraxas? who the heck is abraxas? I’ll have to ask snuffster and see if he knows.

I was thinking the same thing. Also, I think Jaxons makes Abraxas. Look how similar the names are!

I heard Abraxas is one of those big corporations buying out all the snuff making companies and that after all the paperwork is finalized for the remaining few the official announcement will be made. I heard there was some problems taking over Toque. That’s right people you heard it here on the internet so it MUST be true.

I am pleased to announce that Abraxas is now Abraxas-Omni Global (incorporating Jaxons) Watch out for our stands at your local arms and pharmaceutical fairs. Product Assistance And Consumer Choice Operatives will be in your neghourhood (actually, outside your front door) very soon. Thanks.

I can’t wait for the Abraxas Banana without menthol that Dave was telling me about .

New single snuffboxes are now available. A variey of teak, padauk, zebrawood and birds-eye maple. Some are one-of-a-kind or one-of-a-few and may be gone soon. Check them out at woodensnuffbox.com

Cool idea with the coin inlays. I wonder could you do a custom one if I sent the coin?
