Hmmm… well, to be honest, Dave, I see both pros and cons. US vendors are having a lot of trouble keeping SG pipe tobaccos in stock, but when they do have them, their prices are much lower – about 55% to 60% of yours. But I guess if someone really, really has to have a tin or two of their favorite SG blend, they’ll willingly pay the higher price. So it’s just a matter of the buyer’s priorities. I’m not personally affected, as the only SG pipe blend I smoke is St. James Flake, and I have at least a pound and a half stockpiled.
Yes I am aware of that and called SG today to find out why. Turns out in the UK we have to pay excise taxes which do not apply if it is exported. There’s always a catch I suppose. The real value is having a one stop shop which cuts down on shipping. Dave

You want to know my thoughts? My thought: “Why does Dave add stuff to the website that I desperately want 1 day after I place an order?” Well, thanks for the update. I’ll be sure to get some on my next order.

This makes me giddy as a school girl. Any chance the kendal twists will be restocked anytime soon? I wanted to try them.
What about carrying Gawith Hoggarth and F&T pipe tobacco blends? Ooo, and cotton boll twist–that would improve the quality of my life substantially.
