Hello Chris, Your first message didn’t reach me. If you whisper your address I’ll sent teh sample right away. Kindest regards, Jaap Bes.
Jaap, Got my sample today. So it made it through the PACT laden waters of the postal system just fine. First sniff and man o man this stuff is really good. It’s got a lot going on I’ll spend some time with it and report back Thanks for the sample!!!
It’s like the gingerbread snuff ive always wanted thanks Jaap
Thank you Jaap for the sample. I will be sure to purchase some Musintobak with my next order as it is very enjoyable. It arrived quite moist; the dominant scent for me is that of cinnamon and it has a sweetness to it.
@ Matt “It’s like the gingerbread snuff ive always wanted” Man it is!!!.. with a little chocolate mixed in the dough…but it’s not the sweet Nabisco ginger snap crap…it’s very balanced and un-candy-like………more like a high end, whole grain, muffin
I just got my generous sample after a small snafu. OMG this is good! I thought I had enough snuff til death as I placed a bunch of pre-pact orders, but Jaap sends me this! Oh well. This is a 6 star snuff!
I got my sample yesterday. Excellent flavorful snuff very nice and moist! One pinch leads to another. Will order more for sure!
Got my sample today. Thanks Jaap! I agree with the above, it’s very much like gingerbread or Dutch ginger cookies, spicy, with a molasses or brown sugar sort of sweetness. And so moist that it’s clinging to the little baggie. I’ll definitely have to order some.
Am I the only one who has not received a sample? Thanks to your reviews here, I really feel as if I am missing out…boo hoo! It’s all good though, I will patiently wait for one of our friendly vendors to add this to their offerings.
@ zzedo: Did you request a sample? Ask and you shall receive!@ Jaap: I have mine, thank you for going to extra trouble for me! Review forthcoming!
Yay! Got the sample today, THANK YOU JAAP! I could tell before opening the envelope that Musinotobak was going to be a snuff that I would like. The snuff scent escaping the envelope was a rich, dark & sweet tobacco scent. I just took one pinch and wow this stuff has some burn to it! But it smells delicious! I will be including this snuff in my next order! Now for the fun part, repeated sniffing to try and pick out all the flavors that make up this snuff!
10 minutes later: One more thing - what is fernambukwood?? I’ve now sniffed several pinches but have to call it quits, certain snuffs get my palms sweating pretty good and I am at that point which tells me that this snuff delivers the nicotine!
@ zzedo: According to my research, its Brazil wood aka Pernambuco wood.
Thank you all for the kind words! Xander is right. It is also used as a vegetable dye. Jaap Bes
Come on gents. This isnt cricket, is it. All these postings about the new snuff has my tongue (or should that be nose) hanging out but nothing at snuffreviews.com. Please will someone put me out of my misery and do an in depth review?
London Jack, No reviews on most new snuffs. I wish someone would review the 5 new WOS too.
I’m pretty sure one can eat this snuff. Anybody tried yet?
Well I haven’t got round so far as eating it! But the last three days I’ve’ been sniffing on Jaap’s good products intensely.
I must get more Bon Bon. It reminds me of my Erinmore pipe tobacco I used to smoke.
Last Saturday a deputation of the citycouncel from Kralingen visited the mill to discuss the possibliliy to use part of the Karottenfabriek as a museum. For that occasion we introduced another historical snuff: Mettaijer snuif. It is a fine ground Viginia tobacco flavoured with a winevinegar extract of valerian. If you like a sample, let me know before next Saturday through our website: www.snuifmolens.nl Jaap Bes
Hooray! (still waiting for St. Omer)
@ Xander: The St. Omer is still fermenting, a little more patience. Jaap Bes.
