Molens de Kralingse Snuffs and an Old Mill. No Longer Produced

These are the absolute treasures of my snuff collection. Been in refrigeration since 2014, 2015 and 2017 respectively. Unicorns in the flesh (or nose). @snuffmiller @volunge

@ rostanf:

Thank you for the nice pictures. Glad to hear that the snuffs keep so wel over such a long time.

I miss them all. My very first ever snuff was Jaap’s Latakia.

This is my collection not including the St. Omers and Son de Tonka that I have big tubs of in my cellar. All are less than half full, my precious Musinotabak is less than 1/4 full. They are all dried out but I rehydrate them as needed a smashbox at a time. They are so moreish I can easily go through a smashbox full in a day and then its a Molens day, but as my stock dwindles those days are getting rarer.

You’re welcome but you deserve all the thanks for caring so much about producing such excellent snuff.

Seeing the original containers is nostalgic. Savor them. Thanks for the photo.

Coincidentally, before I even saw this post, I found these on ebay yesterday:

It’s become nostalgic, so I’ll also add my photo to the pool of memories. I miss Bon Bon and the work of Rotterdam millers…

@ClarkNova: I have no knowledge of the series the knew “Long Way” and I am not familiar with Ewan McGregor or Charley Boorman and I am not Jaap Bess but Jaap Bes who took about 10 years care off the two snuff windmills in Rotterdam at the Kralingse Plas.

Should’ve pm’ed you. If you didn’t host a couple of bikers on vintage motorcycles at a windmill around June of last year (2024) while they were filming a tv show, Long Way Home, then it must’ve been a different Jaap. Apologies.
