Video Games... Any gamers out there in snuffville??

bob, fallout 3 is one of my favs, and I usually dislike RPGs. I played it twice through, once being a goody two shoes and the second time, well let’s just say nuking megaton wasn’t even close to the worst thing I did. Fun game.

I played wolfenstien enemy territory on PC quite a bit. We have a wii but I rarely play it. I recently won an xbox 360 on an online contest so I’m patiently awaiting its arrival - and by patiently I mean looking out the window for the mailman every 15 minutes though I have no clue how long itll take to get here. I dont even know if its been shipped LOL. I’ll probably pick up mass effect when I finally get it.

GTA IV --360 I know typical right? I found it for a steal at blockbuster used. Put in my $5.00 reservation for Tekken 6 though, anyone play that series?

Favorite game ever=Starcraft. Simple, good times. My brothers and I will play for hours on end on occasion.

gta 4 and mass effect are both great games. So is fallout3 I love rpgs favorite games really. played through fallout3 several times. goody two shoes middle of the road and well mr sandman was a favorite perk.\ And as far as gta 4 being a typical favorite that’s just because it’s a really great game on many levels.

for those of you liking GTA, I recommend Red Faction Guerrilla. Think of it as being Grand Theft Auto: Mars. Steal any vehicle, demolish anything with a variety of weapons, including a thermobaric rocket launcher and nanorifle.

I got the ps3. Metal Gear Solid 4 and GTA4 are my top two favorites on the consol. @mattsnuff starcraft is also my favorite game ever I think. I spents entire summers playing it years back and it brings back good ol’ memories.

@orion…yeah I’ve been playing for 9 or 10 years…though I played a Korean exchange student who rolled me in 15 minutes! Also Love my Metal Gear Solid, and I own GTA4.

haha have you played Resident Evil 5 yet? I really wanna get that one.

oh yeah it looks great. definatly on my need to get list of games.

My new favorite RPG: PERSONA 2 - INNOCENT SIN After playing for so many years, I am kinda sick of those fantasy/sci-fi RPGs (don’t mean to offend if you like them). So yes, I admit I want a game that is deeper, darker, and more twisted. and when I am tired of playing it, I can dive right back into any one of my God of War games.

The xbox 360 i won came in the other day. I picked up mass effect. it was a game that I wanted to play but my computer couldnt run it enjoyably.

I’m suffering due to a lack of proper GPU. Still stuck with my ancient radeon 9550 atm. So i haven’t played much lately. I just finished God of War on a borrowed PS2 however :D. Hopefully I’ll get a new box by next year.

I had to buy mass effect twice for that reason. :frowning: my hard drive got messed up :(. It was fun playing through it again. One of the things I love about rpgs like mass effect is you can get really into the weapon upgrades and taking control of leveling your guys but at the same time you don’t need to to enjoy or beat the game.

I’m only about an hour or so in right now but Im really enjoying it. In fact I think I’ll go play some now before work

Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Call of Duty World at War. Followed closely by Bioshock. Then of course there is Crysis which is ok, but not in the same league as COD.

At the moment I’m mostly playing Medieval Total War 2, which is quite brilliant. The TW series are the only strategy / wargames that hold my interest (though europa universalis and alpha centauri were pretty interesting.) I’m playing Sherlock Holmes: nemesis, which is slow but good. Assasins creed for the occasional fighty mood - slick but i think i prefered the thief series and Bioshock.

I’m no hardcore gamer here, I suck to much at any FPS games to play them enough haha. I casually play the PS3 here and there, Infamous as of most recent. Used to play World of Warcraft a bit on the comp, I’ve basically quit playing that game. So yeah, i’ll update whenever I get back into any sort of gaming mode.

the first condemned was awesome and very creepy and scary (even if the story turns cheesey.). The second condemned I didn’t find as scary and creepy but extremely grim and visceral. And especialy in the second one what a combat system who would have thought a first person investigative brawler would work so well. I liked a lot too how the combat was difficult to master not in figuring out how it works or how to do things but in not getting too jumpy while fighting especialy multiple enemies. Damn I think they are two of the most underappreciated games of this console generation.
