I started this discussion for video games, but I guess you could put card and board games if thats what your playing Me I’ll be playing Red Dead Redemption for PS3 tonight
I’ll be playing my banjo.lol
I usually play FIFA or Slingo for the PC.
Dragon Quest 9 for the ds doesn’t come out till tomorrow but I’ve had it since Monday. My sources are staying secret but if you have a ds BUY THIS GAME!!! It is excellent. Stefan
CoD:MW2, Wolverine Origins, GTAIV, and my banjo as well
ninja gaiden 2 on the 360 so the blood is in full effect. Playing the mentor difficulty level. Damn it’s an insane game.
My ukulele and maybe some Runescape.
Playing my Ukulele!
I want a tenor. And one of those cute dolphin-bridge ones.
Borderlands, Rise of Legends, SupCom, Total Annihilation, Dawn Of War. TotalA sporadically, DoW every now and then with my baby brother, and the rest of them are currently on hold. I’ll get to finishing them eventually.
Sorry!
Fallout 3 and Red Dead Redemption already pre ordered the Fallout: New Vegas Collectors Edition, can’t wait!
Valkyria Chronicles was the last one I´ve played excessively on my PS3. I guess I´ll soon continue Fallout 3 and hopefully find the time to start Fight Night Round 4.
Been playing Sauerbraten on the Mac.
I’ll be playing my guitar. Some tunes by Paul Geremia, Mississippi John Hurt and Stefan Grossman. Love country blues. It’s been a few years since I properly played a video game. I used to play Pro Evolution Soccer fanatically. Recently I’ve been impressed with the FIFA World Cup 2010 game…I remember the FIFA games always being substandard to PES but that seems to have changed now. I keep toying with the idea of a PS3 but never manage to convince myself to buy one.
Mario Galaxy 2 on the Wii
This thread has convinced me on getting out my old Dreamcast and start playing Unreal Tournament.
demons souls on PS3 and also CoD MW2 (PSN MrChou)
Fine, this thread made me play some Darkstalkers on my PSP. B. B. Hood needs a Tommy Gun to accompany her Uzi.
lol…is this thread for musical instruments or video games? if its instruments then I have some great photos. if its video games, count me out. I’m an old man and have a terrible time figureing that stuff out.
I have started playing Pokemon Gold through an emulator all over again, though I never got really far.
@Carol- get a Mainland, you won’t be sorry. It ended my UAS. I have their Concert Mahog with low G, really nice warm sound.
PP, see post #1. But with english being such an ars… erm, AMBIGUOUS language, I think that’ll be allowed. Me, I rather fancy my stylophone
Stuntman Ignition Sammick Starter Bass Plastic drum sticks on lap/slapping my belly.
Iggy, the Flea with the tenor neck is really calling for me though! And it comes in tie-dye!
That’s very interesting about the ukes. This whole resurgence of interest in the instrument snuck up on me. Wouldn’t have know anything about it if my daughter hadn’t requested one for her 18th b-day. There are some AMAZING players on you tube. If you haven’t heard John King, look him up. Unreal. It’s funny, but it was my first instrument many, many, many years ago when I was a young’un. I think it’s really cool that so many people are interested in making their own music. Good on ya!
@wildwilliam- check out ukuleleunderground.com, you will see just how popular Ukes are:)
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain are Uke Gods!!
Thanks a lot for the tips Ladies. I shall have a look. I’m still amazed at the music you can get out of these little things. Has me now thinking of picking one up.
Red Dead Redemption
I can’t wait to play that one.
Angry Birds. It’s one of the most addictive puzzles I’ve encountered.
Some free 20/20 cricket game. Otherwise good but there’s a clinch in spinning; right slow spin almost always falls a wicket. Does anyone know good cricket simulators?
_"Does anyone know good cricket simulators? "_Here’s one. HTH!
In about 2 days I’m going to be playing my new Ohana SK-35G soprano Ukulele
She’s playing my new Uke. This girl is fantastic! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhH9-YbRsbY&feature=channel
Iggy, you have the UAS baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!! I don’t know why, because I have a soprano already, but I really want one of those purple dolphin-bridge ukes to take out for beat-about.
Oh, but Carol, you have it bad toooooooo!! I know you want a tenor flea and the dolphin-bridge!!! ; D that polish girl on u-tube is hilarious! that’s what I love about ukes, they make me smile and the people that play them make me smile.
Unfortunately, even though I love my uke, I still rather suck lol.
League of Legends, a free DotA clone from its original creators and some guys from Blizzard. I got pretty hooked to it.
Be playin Red Dead Redemption tonight, I just became The Legend Of The West baby!
The new Metroid Other M for the Wii it’s a pretty sweet game so far, its like Super Metriod and Metroid Prime 3 combined.
I finally conceded defeat and bought Mass Effect (the first one). Playing it while I wait for Civilization V.
OpenArena, a free fps.
At the moment, playing Caelum. A hard but fun game nonetheless. I’m mostly a “casual” gamer. Give me Slingo, Slots and a match three game and I’ll be happy. I do like an occasional UT 2004 CTF game though…
Been playing Unreal Tournament III on my computer most of today and last night. Usually don’t play video games (except for my sega genesis), but I have to say that I am really enjoying this one. ~Ken
I’ve recently been alternating between several: Warlords Battlecry 3, My Kingdom for the Princess 2, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, Bicycle Texas Hold’Em, and Fallout 3.
Currently I am playing Empire: Total War, I occasionally switch to Oblivion.
Still on Ninja Gaiden 2. Finaly made it to the third level on the hardest mode. The only game I’ve played in recent years where the enemies are more dangerous then your guy at least they kill you faster then you kill them. Basicly I’am bragging cause if I beat this one I’ll actualy be proud of it. Not many games do that these days. I.e. beating it just means you played it long enough.
Been stuck on Oblivion on and off for a couple years…get started and play for hours…
"Been stuck on Oblivion on and off for a couple years…get started and play for hours… " That is exactly how it is too…
I’ve started about half a dozen characters in Oblivion, but for some reason I’ve never finished the main quest. Of course, one of the main points of the series is that you don’t have to, but I generally want to finish most games. I have yet to figure out what makes Oblivion different from the rest, especially Morrowind, which I played and finished several times.
PipenSnusnSnuff I have done the same thing. I have had countless characters and deleted as much. I have done the main quest, but I found out doing the main quest at a lower level sucks because you miss out on so much. It has been a while since I played Morrowind or the other Elder Scrolls, but I am going to have to get me Morrowind and play it again now.
Didn’t see anybody throw up World of Warcraft. I go away for a little bit, and then back like a crack addict. Love Red Dead too… But I always find myself back in Blizzard land…
Single coils. I used to be crazy for humbuckers, still love them for some stuff, but the singles have got me now.
Ah, Blizzard land. Don’t do much WoW anymore…not enough money and too little time. Play old school Starcraft like crazy. Can’t take 60 bucks out of my tobacco budget to pick up the new sequel though.
Oblivion have made many charectors. However one thing I find silly about it is that on morrowwind you had to have certain skills to advance in a guild for oblivion you don’t so you can make a stealth person and play them through the mage guild with out learning a single spell. Or magic your way through the theifs guild. However that can be really fun on the brotherhood quests. the main story line is really the weakest part of the game and kind of breaks up continuity. at least in morrowind they made an excuse for you being like I’ll save the world later but first I’ve gotta go steal some stuff.
Oh great game but the voice acting really sounds wrong to me on it. Anyone else feel the same way?
Oblivion voice acting? Yeah its weird. They hired what seems like 6 people to do voices. I could have lived without it.
they did and they where the same people from the game before. The things is all one person per race and gender combo. So when one guy talked like that in morrowwind not too annoying. Though if only let someone get through one or two words or part of a word and then hit a and repeat it can be really funny.
Any other gamers here who like The Witcher? I’m eagerly awaiting the sequel, which is due out sometime in the first quarter of 2011.
happily the sequel may come to the consoles which is boon cause I can’t afford a computer that is any good.
The Witcher was a good game, sadly though I lost my copy while moving. Has anyone ever played American Mcgee’s Alice?
Never heard of it joshua.
The new PS3 Move, so far I must say that the Wii has much better controls than this
bob: I used to have it, but i ended up getting rid of it. It’s pretty much a gory and twisted version of “Alice in Wonderland”. It was awesome.
This sweet little game I’ve downloaded this afternoon called Trinklit Supreme. Fun, fun, fun!
Trinklit Supreme is a cute little game. Very addictive. Thanks for recommending it.
Fallout: New Vegas!
Playing Dead Rising 2 at the moment but I’m waiting for New Vegas (it doesn’t come out until friday here in the UK) I’ve preordered the collector’s edition.
Minecraft. that is one fun game.
I wish I was playing fallout new vegas. I have to wait for the cash. But my girlfriend promised me she’ll buy it for me and that you guys won’t hear as much from me.
Fallout New Vegas is amazing. I had Fallout 3 for the PC and let me just say that playing the new version of PS3 is absolutely amazing. I’ve told a few of my friends not to expect to talk to me for a couple weeks because I will get totally immersed in the game (its addicting!)
makes me sad. I almost skiped buy snuff to get the game.
Crap, Fallout New Vegas is out? I think I may be making a trip to the game store before this weekend.
Fallout New Vegas tonight baby! Picked it up when I was on the way to work last night. Tonight it is going to be Crown Royal and Nuka Cola!
no fallout new vegas
Fallout New Vegas. I picked it up at 9.00 am and played for almost 11 hours straight, I decided to call it a day when I remembered how Borderlands nearly caused my girlfriend to break up with me this time last year
Fable 3, just got it today.
Last week I beat Ninja Gaiden 2 on it’s hardest setting. Which should impress anyone else who’s tried it. It’s less a mater of skill then banging ones head on a wall untill the wall gives a tiny bit and repeat untill end of the game. So I’am playing it again on the hardest setting but with all the equipment earned during the first play through. Much easier and more fun this time.
last days of Modern warfare 2.
Kirby’s Epic Yarn for the Wii
Nice! I’ve been playing the study game…
Micheltn: I am jealous. Been playing Halo CE online, getting called a noob for sniping everyone haha.
Black Ops… and I am disappointed so far…
black ops too here. played a bit campaign, was ok, but i like to multiplayer so far (level 14 now). Its good fun and a bit less frustrating then MW2. (Yes Noobtubes Im looking at you!)
I never understood the whole rage against noobtubes. I mean it does take a decent amount of skill to use them and its not necessarily a one hit kill weapon. I used one because basically I got good enough over time to get at least 2 kills per life with that weapon, not to mention the actual bullets I would use later. I didn’t consider myself a god at the game or even particularly good at it but i received constant mic spam attacks and hateful playstation 3 “mail” messages calling me names and insulting me for my skill with the 'toob.
COD Black Ops, haven’t played the actual game yet just been rocking zombies
not about anyone here. But some gamers really seem intent on fullfilling the sterotype of gamers, you know that their immature idiotic spoiled brats that don’t have any real understanding of human interactions and have a pathological sense of entitlement that seems to come mostly from some type of brain damage. You reminded me of the one time I played on of the C.O.D. online. It was a horrible experience no one was mean. The people who’s voices I heard really made the game so super annoying. I didn’t mind getting slaughtered left and right during the game anywhere near as much as I minded the people who online matchs constitutes the closest thing they’ve ever had to a friends. Sheesh.
Most annoying are all those kids talking crap in really high voices… well psn ist MrChou if you want to add me.
yeah you mean the kids that just need to punch their dads in the nuts instead of taking it out on the rest of the world with their snotbrains?
Oblivion, slaughtering Guardsmen and searching for spies.
Quick cheat for oblivion save before grabing the sigil stones in the oblivion gates. Reload untill you get one you like. Cause really doesn’t it suck to close a gate and get a useless stone.
Thanks bob, I will give it a try next gate I close.
Very good tip bob. One of the classic cheats. I’ve been playing Alter Ego.
another stupid oblivion cheat is if you want you speachcraft to go up. keep raiseing then lowering the number for what the persons opinion of you is. Hopefully this makes more sense. Each time you raise someones opinion of you with the speachcraft mini game you get experience. you don’t lose any experience for making their opinion go down. though that is pretty useless cause speachcraft isn’t really that usefull.
Still black ops first prestige level 3 or something, its still fun.
The call of Duty series is the thing that made me realize I could win a war all by myself if I had infinite respawn points and the enemy did not.
lol it made me realize that i spent to much time gaming. Stupid combat record…
too much time gameing? Did you grow a beard? That is too much time gameing.
no beard here, but 30 hours of black ops seem a bit much in 2 weeks…
thats nothing. now if you said 2 days I’d worry
lol thanks bob. going to play some more this evening then.
Man you should see how much video gaming I’ve been up to lately.
Dead Rising 2 was still too high when I did the trading thing so I’m into Just Cause 2. Oh, and why is Angry Birds Iphone exclusive? Shouldn’t have demo-ed that, stuck in my mind.
Asteroids
Nice Xander! Did you score the new Atari 2600?
I sold my Atari 2600 on ebay years back. Most of the basic games canbe found online for free.
Just finished Fallout New Vegas for PS3. Excellent game. I’m not going to play through again though because it sucked up way too much of my life.
john did you ever think you might have it backwards? That your life sucked up too much of your game time?
IL-2 sturmovik, and Secret weapons over Normandy (pc flying game) Janes WWII fighters, and B17 flying game, wish I had a crew around here to play Dungeons and Dragons with again, Yeah I am that guy on ebay that sells his book. Insta Character.
I wish I had people to play roleplaying games with.
Just bought the new xbox 360 slim with 250gb. And playing Alan Wake,Forza 3 and Call of Duty MW2! My personal christmas present! lol
I’ve been playing Chrono Cross lately (when I have some free time, which doesn’t happen very often). Even though it doesn’t really keep the spirit of Chrono Trigger (it was made by a different team, after all) it’s really good. I love it. @bob , I understand wanting to play MMORPGs with other people, but do you mean classic RPGs too? They usually have multiplayer options, but they’re rarely good. Or do you mean live roleplay?
I mean tabletop like D&D. Not much of a fan of mmorpgs. Like standard rpgs alot. Currently playing fallout vegas. Which is excellent. The combats a little ho-hum especialy at higher levels. The story is amazing and the degree that the story is actualy responsive is quite impressive for a sandbox rpg.
Humm, I kind of liked tabletop games when I was a child, but I never had anyone to play with so I got tired of them. I’m not really interested in them anymore, as I fell in love with videogames. @bob , the FNV sounds interesting, though from the pics I’ve seen doesn’t look like my kind of game. I prefer action RPGs along the lines of Ookami, The Legend of Zelda, Kingdom Hearts, things like that (yeah, I know I look childish but that kind of games appeal more to me).
I been attached to my Dreamcast system as of late. Daytona USA, Crazy Taxi and Soul Caliber 2 is timeless!
one of the games I had a blast playing was blue dragon. Which is basicly a young teen game when all is said and done. Too complex for kids but really not too much so. Also except for the combat being sleepable I dug eternal sonata.
fallout is awesome you should check it out. It’s pretty much action rpg with a first person thing going on.
@bob , I know Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata, and they look pretty good, but I’ve tried neither of them. It’s a shame, but I don’t have an Xbox. Well, I have a pretty long list of pending games anyways, so, well, it doesn’t really matter if I can’t play Xbox games. About fallout, that first person thing (and the ambientation) is what I don’t like, but I’ll try it nevertheless. @midnightmosesuk , yup, I guess there are lots of interesting tabletop RPGs. The thing is, I love the multimedia integration achieved by videogames, and I try to support non-physical formats, but I guess I’d try a tabletop game if I was invited to do it. Why not? @bioplarbear1968, way to go! And Soul Calibur 2 rocks. It’s my favourite Soul Calibur (in the GameCube version).
I got back into DnD when 4.0 came out but just stopped one day. I kinda miss it too.
Playing this baby…
Lets revive this thread, just finished portal 2 singeplayer => mind blown anybody want do play the coop on steam? steam name is goldengeneral (goldenboy was sadly taken…)
@Goldenboy I played the first portal, liked it a lot. I’ve been meaning to try out the sequel. I just started playing Crysis 2. Probably the best looking videogame I’ve ever played. Really can’t wait for Skyrim to come out though…
@jbruckus get it, you wont regret it it surpasses portal 1 in every aspect. its just amazing
Waiting Skyrim here, too. My rig won’t run it though I’ll just have to dream about it… Really digging Battle For Wesnoth as of late, but with finals and so on playing video games is out of the question. And Portal was amazing. I’d love to give the sequel a whirl.
Uplink this game is more stressful than my upcoming finals
I finally discovered that Steam is on Mac. My PC has been crappy for a while. So I’ve been fragging on CS source. Fun.
Hard Corps: Uprising
Might & Magic Clash of Heroes on Xbox 360
Fun thread, cool to see all the gamers! Playing (and programming) Wizards and Champions MMORPG.
Battlefield Bad Company 2…made COD obsolete.
Nope. Quit playing video games a long time ago. No time for them. Plus, my fiance doesn’t care much for them so I’m not gonna make her suffer through it I do however, school my cousin which is MLG gamer at Halo 3 Never with a headset. All those little shits with their pre-pubescent voices trying to cuss me out just plain set me off lol. I used to beat everyone 30 kills and 2 deaths. MLG wanted me to play in tournaments but i wouldn’t do it.
I really enjoyed the original Halo on my original xbox, but have not played any sequels. I don’t own a 360, or else I’d surely try the newest Halo to see how far they’ve come. Anybody who uses Steam can add me to their friends list with this email : jbruckus@yahoo.com - I still play Team Fortress 2 on their quite a bit. Next console I buy will probably be Nintendos new console set to come out in 2012, although not much is known about it right now, details will be released at the E3 this summer. Im excited to see what they do. Mario in HD! heheh I’ve also been playing a lot of Dragon Quest - Sentinels of the Starry Skies on my DSi at work… lol - will probably trade the DSi in for a 3ds when they do their big software update next month. Played one at gamestop a couple weeks ago, super street fighter 3d…looked nice !
Enjoying my new PS3 (no network yet), but I absolutely LOVE Batman: Arkham Assylum!! Awesome game!
Playing Final Fantasy 7 again, Grandia, and the odd game of nethack. I’ve found a plugin for my PSX emulator that let’s me just pop my original game discs into my disc drive on my laptop and it’ll read it from there, so I can avoid the sketchy image downloading. Plus, once the UPS guy decides to show up, I’ve got a USB controller showing up today that’ll kick ass.
Street Fighter Alpha 2 on SNES
@Pike Yes! I think SNES was the funest system ever, I might do dig mine out of storage and rock some Killer Instinct which is sadly still not available for download on the Wii
Its not too hard to get your Wii to play roms. I can play NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, N64,etc on my wii. load the roms onto an sd card or what not. I own all the originals of course…
Mr. Nails sometimes it’s best to leave a game in the past back before you could understand how truely horrible it is. Sometimes you have to take that risk. I’am just saying becarefull.
LOL @bob
@jbruckus twilight princess hack 4 lyfe i love my fellow nerds
beat the cherry level beat the strawberry level beat the first orange level beat the second orange level beat the first green apple level kept dying on the second apple level
I miss gauntlet. “warrior needs food”
Minecraft… Such a time sink.
L.A. Noire for the playstation 3 and its amazing!
Another playthrough of Borderlands. Fun stuff, if not quite the game it could have been. Also, just to be contrary to those older posts about New Vegas… I’ll have to disagree. Played it for some 20+ hours, and come on. The combat’s useless, it’s like Oblivion with guns, which doesn’t quite work. The engine wasn’t made to be used in an fps, and it shows. The animations, while often lifelike, are just awkward. Less time on the facial capture, more on the general movement and stuff, thank you. And that off-center third person view, now that’s just plain silly. I’ll just stick with my original copy of Fallout 2, thank you very much.
Man so wrong about vegas. Though since you’re slamming a game people love. Here is my question why do people think that Red Dead Redemption doesn’t suck? Here are my reasons it sucks bad. If 100 percent of your in game deaths feel cheap yet every mission feels cheap because it’s about as challenging as fighting a toddler the game probably sucks. Seriously in that game I died more times because a cougar landed on my head then from bullets. If it’s a cowboy game or a gun based game each weapon or weapon type should have some personality for example if you go through a level using the shotgun you should realize this with out looking at the icon representing your weapon (seriously you shouldn’t be able to sniper with a shotgun if you can poor design. Button mashing is only an acceptable means of main locomotion in a game if the game is supposed to teach you that handicap people can be cool too (even then it still sucks.) Don’t brag about how beautifull the game you made is then stick almost half the game in the most boring uninteresting barren part of your game. Haveing the main charcter repeatedly remind you that sure he’s a criminal but he’s a good criminal doesn’t make him deep it makes him a flat cardboard cut-out. I seriously tried to like this game for the first third I did then I tried to beat it but gave up during the real boring part near the end (anyone who’s beaten this game knows about this part) some jackass pansy kid who you’re teaching to hunt keeps commiting suicide by running into a river (note to game publishers I’d rather wait extra months then want to punch you in the face because I spent money on something broken that play testing would have found if you bothered with that stage). Oh one last thing have the person who writes your explanations of game mechanics speak the langauge, if there are tons of questions online about how to use basic mechanics of a game you fucked up. Oh and ripping off other peoples roles for your game isn’t good writing. Wow this game has scar-face, a not funny W.C. Fields, Cheech Marin, and how many others can you spot? Oh by the way I’am playing Alpha Protocol. Guess what not the greatest game but at least it explains it’s self it works and did everything it promised to do. Definatly worth a rent. I don’t get it seriously A.P. is reviewed like it’s the biggest turd not a middle of the road game that it is and Red Dead Redemption gets on everyones best of the year list beating out games that actualy did things like change the way we think about video games and that will change the way future games are made, for a game that proofed if you rape GTA and dress it up like a cowboy people will flip for it. That’s what you get for dissing fallout new vegas no malice intended.
They all sure come out of the woodwork when it comes to video games, eh? BTW LA NOIRE looks bad ASS!
Nothing, my Graphics Card has died. It was only a pretty crappy GeForce GT220 anyway, and needed upgrading. Im thinking GeForce GTX 460 as a decent mid range card, any ideas anyone?
Oolite, a remake of the BBC Micro classic Elite.
@Koba22 : Mine as well… I had a nice GeForce 9600 GTX, or something like that lol, and it crapped out on me… Sadness… but hopefully I’ll be able to get a new one soon. I miss playing APB!
3D World Runner on NES and, for when it gets dark out, Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
Pike Mopers : Amnesia is an AWESOME GAME! Oh man, so much fun… Watch this. It is hilarious. This kid totally freaks out tons of times from playing that game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loSzpvq73FY Also, I wonder if people still do skype calls and play Amnesia. It would be lots of fun & entertaining
I used to be a big wargamer, especially the old paper SPI and Avalon Hill classics. Lately tho all I manage is to fiddle around on World of WarCraft. I’d like to find a good wargame but the new trend towards real time sims are still missing some of the strategic ambience for me. Total War has a pretty good engine, tho I’d like to see the time scale adjusted more appropriately and also see it adapted to a grander scale including logistics.
@Spyro I’m assuming you’ve tried Civilization 4 and 5, correct?
though if you enjoy it that’s what matters. I just had to run a rant, it’s good for your blood pressure if you only do it so often. Kind like the glass of red wine a day. Spyro I’am sure there are many games you could dig. I’am not up on strategy games much. Though one of the under reported trends in gaming is making games that certain types of games will love while everyone else says this sucks.
Pilotwings Resort on my brand new Nintendo 3DS. The 3DS is amazing! Buy one! Stefan
Street Fighter IV on my new 3DS, it really is amazing and I can’t wait until Ocarina Of Time comes out next month its going to be SWEET! Also the included games are pretty cool, I can see that there are going to be some neat downloadable games when the store becomes available
If you want to watch a good Amnesia playthrough, try Helloween4545 on Youtube. That guy kicks ass. A bunch of other great games listed there as well, like Dead Space, Fear with expansions, AvP and so on and so forth. For those on the market for graphics cards, I can honestly recommend Radeon HD5750 for a budget card. Not heavy on the wallet (more money for snuff!) yet plays most of the games adequetly. But then again, I have been playing for the red team for a while now, so YMMV.
@Mittens as long as my graphics card supports Starcraft, I’m good. (but I’m on a 2009 MacBook Pro so I can handle a lot more than Starcraft!)
Well I’ve ordered a GeForce GTX 460 that should be here tomorrow, so I’ll shoe-horn that fellow in and see what happens! I haven’t played anything since December so I’m a bit out of the loop so to speak, but with a 5 month old baby I haven’t had much chance anyway.
@Koba22 You still interested in a trade? Sent you a PM. As far as games go… anyone played Dead Nation? I’m thinking of getting that as one of my “freebies” for the PS3 Welcome Back program… so would like your opinions on that game.
@n9ineinch I got my 3ds yesterday, iit is bloody brilliant! I’m loving the 3d graphics and I also can’t wait for Ocarina of Time, I had that on the N64. Damn good game. Stefan
I play DAY OF DEFEAR: Source since 4-5 years now. I guess i am hooked. In case anyone else play this game, here are the IP´s for 2 servers i am in charge of: 46.4.32.124:27025 [ZEF] THE MADHOUSE 46.4.12.10:30000 BLOOD ARENA - DOD:S TEAM-DEATCHMATCH SERVER Enjoy your games, ol´children!
Playing through Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Top notch, these Assassin’s Creed games are.
yes they are can’t wait for the latest set in the ottoman empire. yea
@Prismaster I’m [-DIR-][C] Figure 11 from the DoDirectory.co.uk server.
plants vs. zombies. Ya, I know! But it’s addictive!
I love PvZ! The wife and I have beat it numerous times and almost have all the trophies.
Mafia 2! there are some weird bugs and the controls are a bit awkward at times (not when it’s important) but the story line is great and the cinematics are awesome.
Mafia 2 not amazing on the game play, good on the game play. The story really does shine, it’s definatly tells a good tale. More like playing an cartoonishly violent mafia movie (ever compare the on-screen deaths in a video game to a movie.)
PSN store back up!! Just got the Infamous 2 demo and all I can say is OMG!! This game is going to rock. They improved EVERY aspect of the original plus some. I reserved my copy at Gamestop today… can’t wait till next week for the full version.
Almost done re-playing GTA: San Andreas
San Andreas is such a classic. It’s one that must be replayed at least once. Same with Vice City. Number 3 not really worth playing anytime that isn’t right after it was released.
I wish they’d reissue the original Panzer General and Master Of Orion. I know they are old but the interface and enjoyment levels were a perfect combination for me. Also, TalonSoft put out some top notch turn-based wargames. For computerized wargames, they really captured the essence of the old tabletop games.
@Spyro: Sometimes wishes come true: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/master\\_of\\_orion\\_1\\_2
Call of duty zombies on an Iphone
re-soft-modding my wii to play gamecube backups. WHAT A HEADACHE! EDIT: bricked my wii
Awesome Pipen! Thanks for the link.
You’re quite welcome. GOG is a great site for old-school games, I’ve bought several from them myself. They frequently offer discounts. If you register with them, they’ll send you e-mails about their sales.
I bookmarked GOG. Great project, hope they continue to add more selections.
Yeah, I just looked at that too. A good site by the looks of it. Stefan
definatly got a few games from there. And have enjoyed them more then the price should allow.
Secret of Mana on the Wii virtual console
playing Dragon Quest IX on my DS. also busy unlocking all the courses on Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii.
Wii U (prerelease at E3)
Guild Wars. My lady-friend and I end up coming back to this repeatedly. We play on the Europe:English servers even though we’re in the USA. This might sound a bit stereotypical, but I think the community is better behaved.
@snuffnpuff You’re at E3 trying out the Wii U? What are your reactions? It seems like something I will seriously consider buying if I see the homebrew scene grows within the year of its release.
Yes… it was actually really cool. I wasn’t too impressed with the graphics but the whole screen in the controller thing really had my jaw dropping. I didn’t get to play with it but saw a demo behind a plexi glass thing and a booth babe held one that we could look at.
The graphics looked leaps and bounds above the Wii in the gameplay videos from the little promo video. Still not on par with the 360 or anything, of course. EDIT: just found out that the game footage shown was PS3, 360, and PC footage since the games have not been made yet.
Got my new graphics card (GeForce GTX 460) and a new PSU to run it, so I’m all back up and running now. Updated Steam for the first time in about 5 months and I’ve been playing Left 4 Dead because it is simply awesome.
bully is a great game. It’s not in the game play but in the you can make a fun game about high school.
This afternoon I’ve been playing a new acquisition from GOG.com called Ghost Master. Sort of a cross between the old Dungeon Master series and The Sims. Recommended if you like light strategy games with a ghoulish sense of humor, in which you play the villain.
Angry Birds Rio on my Android.
bayonetta. Good hard game if that’s your thing. The story and concept are silly but it’s a great fighting game. Think Devil may cry with buttery smooth controls.
@Tc2642 - Are you referring to Skooldaze, the old Spectrum game from the 80’s? That was excellent, and also the follow-up, Back 2 Skool!
worthless comment that involved not reading the comments precedeing it.
I picked Bully up for a couple of quid last summer when I had lots of spare time on my hands. It’s good fun for whiling away the hours…
great game. Again it proves video games are growing tremendoously as an expressive medium.
I am currently playing COD Black Ops. Nuketown All Weekend long!
@revnobody DOUBLE XP WEEKEND WOOOO
Ocarina Of Time 3DS!
Nothing at the moment.
Battlefield 2…sure made COD obsolete…
18 Wheels of Steel - Haulin’ It’s a single player economy game where you drive tractor-trailer and haul freight from location to location. In a weird way it’s sort of like FedEx questing in an MMORPG.
L4D2 at the moment, with some Empire Total War in there aswell.
@bish777 sorry that i this late to reply to you, just saw your post now. ^^ some stuff changed, i lost one of the servers and had to bury my fun clan - just to start out from a clean table: 46.4.12.10:30000 TASK FORCE ZERO | Public Server - would be awesome to welcome you over there one day (i am Kerberos). i will visit your server
for sure too. nice to see some other DOD:S player on here ^^
Infamous 2 and Mortal Kombat for PS3. Both great games.
Dead Space
@n9ine same here, it was an amazing game for the N64, and is bloody brillianrt in 3d. Stefan
@Walrus1985 is it just me or do some of the graphics look way better than it did on n64, to me some of it looks identical and some of it looks way better than anything on n64, its an awesome game nonetheless
waiting anxiously for a replacement AC adapter for my Super NES. 'bout to get my Earthbound on!!
NASCAR thunder 2005 for the GC. Fun, fun, fun…
@n9inchnails. The graphics are improved on that game over the 64 version.
@n9ine the graphics IMO are better than anything on N64, the 3d feature is bloody brilliant, it adds a whole new atmosphere to the game. It’s an excellent console, can’t wait to see what other games come out for it. Stefan
@Walrus1985 if you go on the eshop on your 3DS you can download 3D game trailers on your 3DS, its even better than watching them on your computer or what have you because you get to see what the game will look like in 3D. Most of the game trailers I’ve downloaded look pretty sweet and I will most likely be getting them when they are released
Does anyone have Sniper: Ghost Warrior? I downloaded it on Steam and it doesn’t work, runs super slow. Ive got a good system/graphics card etc and I can’t find any help on the forums so I thought I’d try here!
@n9ine sounds interesting, I’ll have to try that. Stefan
No but I’ve heard Sniper is really horrible. Don’t know cause some games I’ve heard lots of bad about have been great games.
Lately been playing through Black Ops campaign again.
@Koba22 i had to admit that i heard the same like bob, horrible game with a lot of bugs and shit. maybe this is the reason that it doesnt run well on your system-
Anyone (else?) playing Modern Combat: Domination on the PS3? I swore for years that I had quit FPS shooters. Even though I did play through the first Resistance on PS3, I never really took to using the controller to control an FPS. I always felt that the mouse/keyboard was the only way to play. Since I’ve stopped using my PC for gaming, I had all but given up on the genre. But the Playstation Move controller makes shooters fun again! PM me if you want to play!
Started playing another classic title several days ago: The Temple of Elemental Evil. It’s prone to minor bugs, and parts of the interface are a little awkward, but as a good old fashioned dungeon-crawl it’s a lot of fun. Potential for replay is good, too, as the game differs according to the alignment of the characters. I’m running a Neutral Good party at present, but I’ll probably play again with a party of Evil-aligned characters.
What am I playin’? My 4 string!
Hearts of Iron TCG Beta
deadly premonition. It’s a odd one. It’s like a lost game from the ps2 era but really neat.
Finally, a sequel to Panzer General is coming. I really have given up hope a veeeery long time ago, though there were a few good turn based strategy titles (and the beloved Civilization, of course) on the market all the time. Still, nothing came close to Panzer General imo. http://panzer-corps.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzqZZg-Tq-g&feature=player\\_embedded#at=72
GTA Vice City on my original X-Box.
