@FischTix, thanks for the suggestion; I haven’t tried snus. All I’ve been able to find are the cigarette-branded ones locally. Any suggestion where I might find the real thing? For what it’s worth, they do make tobacco vaporizers that I believe are supposed to work quite well. They make flavored tobaccos for them, sticky stuff, similar to hookah tobacco I think. I’ve never tried one though.
@ddavelarsen, SnusCentral if you are in the US or Buysnus elsewhere. BUT if you are in the US be prepared for outrageous shipping costs. A few cans up to ten rolls seems to run about $30. Snus got me mostly off cigs, snuff finished them off.

Haven’t ordered snus since pre-PACT, but I am starting to run low. I seem to remember Northerner or someone opening a walk in shop in NE PA somewhere. If I can get some info, it might be cheaper to make a two hour trek instead of paying UPS shipping rates (DE taxes are insignificant, but PA has no smokeless tax).
@xander check the northerners website they have a few walk in spots. Plus if you make a larger order it’s not much more then it used to be. Which is offset by taking two to three days since the warehouse is so close by. Another thing… Nicotine buzz is effected by not just the amount of nicotine but how quickly it hits the system. The faster it hits the more stimulating the buzz. The slower it hits the more mellow depresanty the buzz. So here is something to try for weaning off of cigs take a whole mess of smaller pinches, little baby pinches. It will more closely resemble the cigarette buzz. If you want to chill out or calm down take a big pinch or two. Nicotine is an odd drug. Also one more thing if you want stronger snus los is the way to go. Because you can really dial in the amount of nic you need. Put a large wide prilla in and you’ll get the heavy duty buzz.
@ddavelarsen Getsnus is warehoused in PA so not a problem to get shipped. PACT, however, has driven the prices way up from what they used to be. And, as mentioned above, Northerner now has a US warehouse. I’m not sure what your personal tastes are but there should be a flavor you’ll enjoy! Hope this helps.

@davelarssen - maybe what you are missing is the sensation of that first blast of nicotine and smoke? The thing that I found when I switched to full time snuff was that I missed that initial punch. Sticking with it is about re-training your brain a touch, it can give evrey bit of nicotine you need. Farty old Fogie Bastard.
