Snus is great and all, BUT...

Starks and extra starks were develoed for the norwegian market IIRC, they love their nicotine and they like it strong! I used starks to get off the tabs, it worked! You do get used to them but I find I go through phases of starks, then regular strength snus, then starks, I tend to use more starks when I am drinking, on a good drinking session I double barrel oden’s extreme portions, the next day I can be back on normal general white portions. I particularly like the taste of starks and extra starks, a lot of then have lakrits root in them which I adore!

I’m trying to go all snuff but I’m still battling ecigs and snus not to mention the 2 or 3 real cigs a month (nothing else hits that spot after a few drinks) but surprisingly the only thing that gives me a buzz anymore is a good snuff blast when its timed right. I’m having trouble making the full on switch to snuff bc my mind is on a routine craving timer. When I wake up in the morning my brain heavily craves 2 things…a engery drink loaded with caffeine and a General Snus packet that can’t absorb fast enough. I pop it in and drink my drink while ocassionally puffing away on the ecig until the snus kicks in. It’s so convienent it frees up my hands and makes the rest of my morning smooth as can be. I don’t spit it out until after I get out of the shower and its time to brush my teeth. The thought of a snuff hit does not appeal to me at all in the morning, it’s actually a major turn off and thats been my toughest fight. The craving for ecig hits the hardest when I’m in the car or at home relaxing watching tv. I’m slowly turning the evening relaxation into snuff time instead of countless E puffs but its not easy. So if I go long enough without any nicotine (rare) I get a real craving and if I go even longer my brain doesn’t care what form of a nicotine hit I take so thats when I dump a nice fat pile of dholakia blueberry snuff between my thumb and index and take a long sharp slow sniff…oh the burn! I love it and when the burn goes away and the tears clear up I catch a niiice nicotine buzz.

Thanks for the feedback chaps. Our brains are different and we all react to drugs differently which is why some of us prefer nicotine, alcohol, caffeine, weed, etc and why some antidepressants work on some people and not others etc. I have 5 separately diagnosed mental health disorders so my brain chemistry is certainly well out of whack so I’ll explain what I mean by the snuff buzz. When only using snuff, I regularly get very pleasant head rushes. Tingly sensations which start at the top of my head, work their way down my spine and even down my legs. This is accompanied by quite a speedy, uplifting feeling that especially with strong snuffs makes me more alert, focused, and even capable of staying awake all night, which is why I jokingly compare the scotches and whites to amphetamines. Snuff is the only tobacco product which gives me these psychoactive effects. All other tobacco products give me more of a physical effect. Eg strong snuses at first made me feel sick, dizzy, and gave me the shakes. Not pleasant but still somehow fun. Strangely now the Extremes snuses put me to sleep!!! How weird is that!? Anyway, the snuff buzz is an important part of the snuff experience for me and I both miss it and want it back. Without it, snuff has lost part of its charm and that deeply bothers me.
