schmalzler hate???

Stefan tried to warn me, but I just wouldn’t listen. It’s my own fault. Also Rooster for the first time. First genuine scotch. Wow. Must have some of this around. The cares of the world, and we all know there are many, are well and truly banished this afternoon. I’m going to make some more tea have a good blow and continue this important research. All the best Xander

@petersuki ha ha ha I was up studyin’ ALLLLL NIGHT  @cstokes4 thanks man I appreciate the link. I’m placing an order for a 25g bag this afternoon to try it out (the sudfrucht or however u spell it)

I have to admit I have never tried them but just ordered some from Mr snuff so will give them a try very soon

There’s a sort of oily after taste/scent that lingers long, even after blowing. Does anyone know what I’m trying to describe? I wouldn’t say this a ‘revolting’ but it’s not as nice as the first taste…the way to get rid of this effect seems to be to put some more up. If a water based snuff is put up, the oily taste of the schmaltzer returns when the the effect of the water based one fades. Not sure I could live with this after effect, though the taste at first is delicious. Might try rincing my nose, - but if it’s oil based? Once started you have to keep on with it.

@transistor : You MUST let me know what you think of the Sudfrucht when you try it! I know some people may not enjoy it, but I just want a few more opinions to see if I should order some sometime! Gimme your honest opinion when you try it though :stuck_out_tongue: . @petersuki : Have you ever tried Zwiefacher? I’ve noticed a very similar effect with the Zwie… It leaves a strong oily after-scent / after-taste… Its honestly quite strong, to the point where, if I accidently sniff some to the back of my throat, it is really unnerving… But I LOVE the scent so much… Gah! :stuck_out_tongue:

MikeMoose Yeah the flavours are outstanding. But the oil base gives it a half life of several hours. Fascinating stuff. Once you take it, it owns you. Love the Rooster. Blows out clean as a whistle. These two are the first I’ve ever had. I’m not used to the way the oil keeps the scent around a long time. ‘Strong oily after scent’ is right. A very different take on tobacco up the nose. Think I’ll just try some more…

Aha! It is true, I believe it was the first night I cracked open the tap-box of Zwiefacher, I ended up snuffing so much that it hit me a little hard, and in the gut :stuck_out_tongue: . It’s got a strong nicotine kick, for me anyways. But yeah it is a great snuff… I’d buy it in a larger amount for sure. But yeah, once you start, you can’t stop :stuck_out_tongue: .

‘Does anyone have a schmalazer they hate? Not don’t like but find revolting’? Love the flavour. Once up the nose it seems to dominate the day. This effect is not revolting but I will only use this stuff on specific schmaltzer occasions because the oil (which in my examples can be tasted), is so persistent in the nose that the whole day will be schmalzered. If you love this stuff I can see why.

I hate the way schmalzlers dry out my nose!

I’m really starting to think I shouldn’t try schmalzler…sounds kind of like liquor. Once you start, you can’t stop and it has bad after effects.

I doubt it’s any harder to quit than any other snuff…

You’d be doing yourself a disservice not to try them, Fisch!

FischTix ‘I’m really starting to think I shouldn’t try schmalzler’ Don’t let me put you off. It’s just my first take. As I said the flavours are really something. I have tried it again today. Not tasting it as well as yesterday. The N lift is not amazingly high buty I would say quite long lasting and ‘even’. Also I’m not noticing the oily effect as much as yesterday. Give it a go. You live once.

Famous last words, “I’ll try anything once” You guys talked me into it though a scmalzler WILL be on my next order. If I end up in rehab, I’m holding you guys personally responsible!

So long as you can get someone to smuggle some in for you you’ll be fine! Or you might consider going to live in Germany. Seriously though, more-ish, but not compulsive.

The only thing I don’t like about the scmalzlers I have tried is. They are like tater chips, once you get started you can’t stop.

@petersuki lol! Thanks for the advice. I find any tasty snuff to be quite more-ish, but for me more-ish quickly turns into compulsive!!

Sternecker echt Fresk isnt so wonderful dont know why too plain …but no i do not hate it, schmalazers are meant to be yummy

The schmalzers may be the only sort where I will use a spoon. I taste the ‘echt’ better off a spoon. Though there is a sneezing fit here

Mr. Snuff is soon stocking the ungefettet. Somone wrote a good description on how to use it. Now, need to find some lard…
