Yae
Just ordered a 10g of sandalwood from another vendor. If I like it I’ll definately pick up some 50gs.
it’s great. Sweeter then some expect sandalwood to be but it’s damn good sandalwood.
@bob Is it a natural smelling sandalwood, like an essential oil, or more perfumey like a soap?
@rdunnion: It is totally natural sandalwood which is extracted from the heartwood of the sandalwood tree. I think the trees are in Mysore India if my memory is not failing me. There is the merest hint of menthol which opens up the sinuses slightly to bring the sandalwood right to the fore. If you are a sandalwood fan, I know of no better sandalwood snuff. Dave edit: typo
@Dave Thanks for the wonderful description. I’ll have to see how my nose takes to the menthol as it tends to swell up and close off to other menthols. With any luck I’ll love it and it’ll still be on sale.
Also, if you like the flavor you are in luck, because it lasts forever in the nose, even after a blow and a pinch of something else, you’ll smell sandalwood!
Nice! Sandalwood is my very best, all time favorite, number one, can’t be beat scent. But it has to be pure, no fancy schmancy perfume.
It’s definatly mysore sandalwood. Very strong not perfumey. Very sweet compared to other sandalwood snuffs. Definatly try the Freyborg and Treyer French Carrote which is a little perfumy but another amazing sandalwood snuff although more on the dry not as sweet sandalwood essence. Both are amazing snuffs. Also if you like rose too the macouba by F&T has a nice sandalwood and rose scent (more rose at first but as the rose fades faster it leaves a nice sandalwood scent). Yeah sandalwood is one of the most amazing scents of all time. Very calming and centering really. Oh one more thing I really like there is a woodsy scent to the quit almost like a tastefull amount of sawdust has been added. I know that isn’t the most appealing way to put it but… anyways you’ll love this snuff.
