Pieter, I found my tin of NTSU, it was in the car, dry as a bone. I’m going to try re-grinding it and see what happens! lol
Jeff, I took mine to the mortar and that was it. I wish the guy, who wrote that terrible review, can taste a pinch of what I have here now. He will cat pee himself, I think! Go for it but make sure you are seated when you take the first pinch. I’ve taken two healthy pinches now and can actually feel the nicotine rushing through my veins. THIS is roughneck stuff!!!
Oh man that sounds good! I’m going to go out right now, and put the tin on the dash, so I don’t forget. May even take a pinch of it!
Man, that container is something. It’s been the car for months. I assumed it was dry as a bone, but it isn’t, it’s quite moist even. I left it open in the hot car.
Excellent! I look forward to it! You don’t have to thank me. Friendship just happens, and you’re a good one.
I’ve just now opened up another tin of Ntsu. Strange, this one smells quite good, sweet, with no cat p-- stench. I also have a spare tin of menthol and that too smells quite good although I’m not going to use it. Will rather trade it. @ sprangalang, I’ve tasted the snuff which I’ve ground and I’ve sieved with the same result; the nicotine hit is something out of this world. One can actually feel the nicotine running through your body, gives me goose pimples. I’m thinking of mixing it with some Taxi Red, might make it even more potent. I’ve got another 10 tins coming but it takes time, should have it in 2 weeks. I’ve now taken another two LARGE pinches and chased it with some Rooster. WOW, this is good!!!
Pieter, You are probably the only one here who has now had every South African snuff. I would now appoint you South African Snuff Expert. Now, tell us, If all you could get was domestic snuff, which one would be your main one. Which one could you not be without?
Xander, Singleton’s Menthol is to me a world class snuff and I ilke it very much. I’d hate to be without that one. Second to that is a Taxi Red/Magnet Peach combination.
I knew that! Why did I ask you?
My NTSU was still a bit damp when I tried to grind it. I put it in the microwave for 10 seconds. Voila! Poifect. Ground it up with a stone mortar and pestle, sieved, and put back in the tin. I took a few sniffs - very nice natural tobacco flavor. I did not blast off though, just had a little taste. It’s been a while, had some time to rest. Tomorrow, I will hit it hard, and we’ll see…
Well I remembered the NTSU, it got left in the car again after re-grinding. Today after lunch I took two big pinches and… oh dear, where is the safety belt on this thing, wooooooooeeee, Pieter was not exaggerating! It is an SP-ish flavor, but different. I like it better this way. Gonna have to try this with some Taxi Red.
I get a saltiness in it.
spangalang, I wonder if there is any other snuff availabale with a higher nicotine content? I’ve taken a pinch now and YES, the nicotine RUSHES through my whole “system”!!! The wonderful thing about this snuff is, it does not smell strong or burn my nose. That is, once it’s been aired well!!! I said in another post it’s not necessary to grind it into a finer snuff but I take that back. The kick in the finer form is just so much better. This is addictive stuff, and that’s no lie.
My NTSU is still a bit moist and stinky for me. I’ll try it again later this afternoon.
The NTSU grind is finer than Taxi.
Just curious, but has anyone tried grinding up some old Copenhagen snuff? I’m curious as to the nicotine hit in that stuff. I’m guessing its strong; we used to refer to it as Crackenhagen. Pardon the OT, just rambling so I don’t have to trim my hedges today.
Spyro- I did, well, it was a generic fine-cut natural… but it had an icky taste/smell… I used a coffee grinder. It wasn’t good. I’m done with trying to grind and flavor, as I will leave that to the professionals.
Copenhagen snuffs just fine and is very stong in the nose.
edited. disregard
She’s cute, Filek.
