New to Snuff, some advice needed.

@Mr. Nose: Good news: it looks like we’ll have some Viking in stock fairly soon. Order has been placed.

@mr.snuff - That will make quite a few of us (myself included) smile.  I know that I’ve been wishing to try some of the Viking snuffs!

WOOOHOO!  I want to try that stuff really bad.  Too many good reviews to not have some.

Excellent news, Dave.

I’m mostly using the Viking dark and brown and I’m down to a few cigarettes a day. Today I’ve smoked four which is a lot less for me.

I don’t know much about snuff’s but I’m liking the viking ones

I’m looking forward to trying the Viking line

@Vathek: I have never experienced a ‘poser’s snuff’, although you’re probably right. What I have noticed though is that people who are trying to quit smoking often search for a snuff that will give them a nicotine buzz. I don’t get a buzz from cigarettes, they just make me feel ‘normal’, so I don’t really understand this mindset. I think snuffs that have so much nicotine that they emulate the fast delivery of cigarettes are probably way over the amount of nicotine you need to eliminate craving. The key with snuff is to be patient- the nicotine just takes longer to get into your system. If snuff takes several minutes to get nicotine built up in your system, then how much nicotine is a snuff delivering if you can feel its effects within seconds of taking it? Probably too much in my opinion. I’d advise new snuffers to take snuff when they feel a craving, but to put up with the craving for five minutes afterwards and see if they still feel like smoking.

Yes, I concur with the general opinion here. If you wait the precious five to ten minutes for the nicotine to kick in, you will find the “buzz” to be quite satisfactory with most snuff.

No smokes today. Craved once or twice but nothing major, in fact it’s been quite easy so far. (Compared to the other times I’ve tried to quit!!!)

I’m also adding Hedges ‘the snuff’ to my strong ones as I’m getting a pretty good nic hit from that too. So Viking Dark/Brown and The Snuff.

Any other strong ones currently available in the UK?

I have torque quit too but finding it difficult to take, which is probably just inexperience on my part.

I went to a bar last night and smoked an entire pack of menthols in about 3 hours. I am so wrecked today.

Second day without smoking**

I’ll see if I can get some of the Fubar Grunt snuff, and give that a go. And I’ll try mixing O&G with T-Quit, see how that goes too.

I’ve found that If I use the hedges and then five minutes later use the viking I get a really good hit from them. I’m probably over doing it as one poster said but I’m not smoking which is a good thing.

I’m enjoying this snuff malarkey so far  And it’s easier to stop smoking, so pretty good.

Thanks everyone for the advice.

One more question, what UK site can I get the Fubar Grunt from? Thanks.

F.U.B.A.R. Grunt has been difficult to acquire of late.  You might want to try one of the flavored F.U.B.A.R. snuffs instead – I understand the tobacco base is the same for all of them.  Check the American snuffs section at Mr. Snuff.  F.U.B.A.R. is made by Dholakia, an Indian company, but it was created for the American market, so Dave classified it as an American snuff.

Oh ok, thanks Pipen.

Is Mr.Snuff UK based? The reason I’m asking is because of shipping times.

@vmank1q Yes it is. It only took one week to get from the UK to Alabama (if you’re wondering about the states)

also check out some of the American Scotches on Mr.Snuff as well. I highly recommend Square by Swisher.

i thought mr stuff and it came back within two days, i thought it was a us based company. i’ll try the american scotches on my next order. and today is my 8th day without smoking and it hasnt been that bad. few craves here and there but nothing i couldnt hadle. snuff has been amazing to quit to smoking!
