I read that the Dholakia White snuff is the most powerful snuff ever made… What about American Scotches ?
Rooster put me on my ass first time I tried it, great stuff but I find scotches a little difficult to take enjoyably. Don’t quite have my technique nailed yet. Toasts and white’s don’t give me the same problem. Strange… But I would suggest for an easy to take high nic snuff then Viking dark is well worth a try. It’s course, moist, messy and is liable to turn you into a grotty brown snot monster but you’ll soon find yourself lying there wondering how your first cig as a Teenager didn’t kick your ass quote like this!
@Eraserhead78 LOL I can imagine that I already have difficulty taking Toque snuff and trying every day to perfect my technique so it can be enjoyable journey… I want to try Rooster when I can control my pinch so I can enjoy this Nic buzz as I have big tolerance to Nic that’s why I am searching for powerful snuff…
@kougy I have a pretty high tolerance too, still not knocked off the smokes although smoking a lot less. Saying that I have found some snuffs are far more noticeable in nicotine than in cigarettes. I smoke out of habit but rarely If ever would I smoke so heavily I’d feel any kind of nicotine ‘rush’. Since discovering snuff I’ve given myself the nic jitters more times than I can remember. Honestly, I wouldn’t worry too much about the technique, it is far more likely to just fall into place on its own without over thinking it too much. I found technique varies hugely between different types of snuff anyway so just jump in and try what sounds good to you.
Viking Brown has a satisfying nic content as well, and I find it has more depth and personality than Dark. Great barnyard notes followed by subarachnoid brain hemmoraghing
@Eraserhead78 I quit smoking 13 months ago without using anything but a serious decision after 15 years of more than 2 packs a day smoking and I discovered nasal snuff 4 months ago and I was very amused by the idea and after I tried it the 1st time I knew it will be a really life long hobby specially after I read the health reports about it… my advice is stop using any burning tobacco whatsoever and go for nasal snuff, I think you can never feel bored because of the hundreds of snuff kinds out there…
@cakeanddottle I heard about it and I think it will be in my next order with Rooster and Navy Sweet…
I don’t ever crave nicotine anymore, I just crave a pinch. When I feel the need, I take out my trusty turn tin and tap some on the back of my hand. The following sensation brings me to equilibrium and completely at ease and focus. I never select a snuff for its nicotine potentcy, but instead all of the great effects from a nice pinch. Poschl, GH, SG, or Dragun; it does not matter.
@Vito445 I have a Nicotine tolerance and I don’t even feel any Nicotine buzz from Toque quite that’s why I am curious about trying the powerful kinds of snuff I hear and read about so I can feel what this “Nicotine Buzz” is
But maybe after a while my choices will be different and will be towards better flavors and quality not Nicotine content.
My vote would have to go to Viking Dark. The grind and mositure make it easy to cram way to much up your nose, and its probably has the strongest inital nicotine punch of any i have encountered.
@Pot Poe Even more than Dholakia white ?
Viking Dark has noticeably more nic than the average English snuff but is no where near as potent as the whites or scotches.
@n9inchnails So FUBAR Grunt is more potent ?
@kougy - Grunt has a good nic content, although nothing spectacular, I would rate it just above average, but it is a wonderful snuff for me, gets the job done and is a great tobacco flavor. Remember Grunt uses the same tobacco as in the Sparrow, you already have that one, and Dholokia uses the same base in a lot of it’s snuffs, the WOW brand too. The high Nic marketing of Fubar is more hype than anything else.
Dragun, White, and Elephant, and Cheeta would be higher. No snuff has been a complete replacement for my nicotine needs, I use snus for that. Dragun would be the easiest on the nose. And total nicotine uptake is the key, just use more of it until you get a fix. Always try to keep your nicotine needs low though, chasing a nicotine buzz is a fleeting ability.
I have never had a strong enough snuff, although the Rustica comes so close, but it tends to have a nasty drip. Home made snuff from Thuc Lao was pretty damn good and strong. High nicotine snuff tends to burn and be unpleasant.
“I hear and read about so I can feel what this “Nicotine Buzz” is”
It is fleeting and impossible to maintain!
My advice is to just enjoy the simple side of snuff.
Or smoke a cigar and inhale. That’s a Nicotine Buzz. Cheap thrill.
@Whalen Thanks a lot for the advice and the beautiful REVIEW, maybe it’s better to enjoy the different flavors and the mood stabilizing effect of the different kinds of snuff than chasing the Nicotine buzz… just I was curious when I read about that because my tolerance to nicotine is extremely high after 15 years of heavy smoking so I would never feel this buzz anyways and as you said it’s better to enjoy the simple side of the snuff…thanks again
@Whalen “just use more of it until you get a fix”…that’s what I do already with the different Toque flavors I have and I think I must not think anymore about the nicotine content rather than thinking about the flavor and quality of the snuff because at the end I can use more if I need too.
Whites and Scotches are probably more powerfull, but they are unforgiving and hard to master. Viking Dark is simple to take and thus easy to take a lot. And all in all, i find it delivers a faster inital blast of nicotine, something we smokers always will crave. It is the only snuff that has made me whooozey and yes, i have done lines of whites.
@Pot Poe It seems that I must try Viking Dark from your review it would be easy for me as beginner…Thank you for the advice
For me it’s provably NTSU Black ,Neffa Ifrikia is good too.
