Last night.

Was a good night. I was watching the movie Se7en ( which I didn’t see in years ), had 2 rum and cokes, and some nice toasts. It was a perfect night.

You had a good night indeed! Those are favorites of mine. The #21 should be tried by all, a real addition to the line up, and one I just recently finished a 25g tin of, I buy W&H in 200 gram bulk, and I think the many 50G cans of F&T where a great investment, I think that can can keep it great for my lifetime. These three would have to be in any classic top five Toasts, I would also recommend the WOS Lemon toast, but it does not have that broad of an appeal, although I just love lemon.

I’ve yet to try the F&T and WoS toasts; they’re on my shortlist when I have a little extra money. Birthday’s coming up soon!

I’m still new to snuff, I love the F&T HDT and whisky honey. HDT is my favorite snuff as of yet, based on that do you think I’ll like the Irish toast? Is it comparable or totally different?

It tends to be that liking any of that type means you’ll like the other, I mean no one loves a snicker but detests a mars…

Eric, I am sure you would like the Wilson’s Irish High Toast No.22, if you love the F&T HDT.

Add a can of Tube Rose on that list, you would’ve been set!

Just remember there are three distinctly different WOS toasts, The #20 which is a toasted SP, citrus taste, not a high toast at all, the #21 which is a smokey natural medium toast almost plain and easy to take, and the #22 which is a high toast, hard to take it is so fine. I think the F&T HDT is a better choice than the WOS #22, better biscuit taste. I absolutely love #20, but I do not even consider it a toast, just a wonderful SP variant. Give the #21 a try, just a great natural tobacco goodness. Get to know them all is my best advice, these are great snuffs.

@Whalen: yes re the biscuit taste in FT HDT. The very first time I had the pleasure of partaking in this fine snuff it was so evocative of vague but powerful child hood memories. Wasn’t sure if it was Farley’s Rusk or digestives or even rich tea, but it was all good. Dave

I’ll have to add the Wilsons to my next order… I’m in a love affair right now with the hdt… It’s a work of art. Hopefully -hint hint- Dave will have more in stock when I order again in January. I’m planning on 4 x gram 25 tins of it… Why can’t I find F&T in bulk? A large tub would be nice.

wilsons website has F&T in bulk.

Thanks Bob, I did a search seems they only have the medium and large :frowning:

And don’t forget Samuel Gawith’s Irish D(ry) Light. (The Kendal company made the snuff for the original Fribourg & Treyer High Dry Toast at an inflated price before Wilsons took over.)

@EricHill: FT HDT is actually in stock. Forgot to update.

@MrSnuff Thanks for letting me know…

@PhilipS is the flavor similar? You’ve peaked my interest lol

SG’s Irish D Light is more creamy flavour than F&T, almost vanilla like its a very tasty snuff. Stefan

The title of this thread is also the name of a pretty good Canadian movie.
