Members please vote for the high toast that you think is the best. Note: please let me know if I’ve made any ommissions. I’m wary of including SG IDO since its impossible to find, and having no personal experience with it, I can’t confirm that it is a high toast or a plainer toast (like WoS No. 21). Also not sure whether and which Dholakia toasts should be included.
I have tried 5 of the 7 above (haven’t tried toque’s or SG yet). Tough call between F&T’s and Wilson’s and yes i know they are both made by Wilson’s but i find the F&T is a bit more buttery.
I agree, but I prefer the more smokey nature of the WoS.
You should try the SG though. It has a nice distictiveness all its own. A bit sweet.
Haven’t tried toque natural toast yet but if its similar to toast n marmalade and lime toast I’m missing out
I have bought more HDT than any of the others. I always have a large tin or two of this in my store of snuff. If I had a second preference it would be 22 closely followed by Irish D Light

Today it is IDL, that and TNT are tied for me at the minute, but because I have a noseful of IDL I voted for that. Stefan

I only had WoS Irish High Toast (No. 22) and F&T HDT to compare so far, and for now the later is the winner for me.
Toque Bourbon could have been here. Not knowing I would have thought it a well made plain toast. Right there with 22. Will be ordering larger quantity. @Roderick

That stuff is one of my faves. It and HDT just disappear at an alarming rate.
I’m actually quite keen on the Tranter light. A shame there isn’t a 2nd Best choice.
Understood and quite correct. however… Fits the category for me .
I think having only tried 2 of the 7 possible choices does not qualify me to vote (as my perspective on high toasts is still too narrow) i´m curious to see what will be the best!
