If you like Bernard Bernard Brasil Doppelt Fermentiert & Zweifacher you will definitely like ---

@Kiwi78 I agree with you, though it’s one of their “other types” most resembling an actual Schmalzler. I think it was discussed in one of the many threads dedicated to this strong snuff that it goes through a process of cold fermentation that gives it its particular character, and that the “Gekachelter” denomination has some kind of relation with that fact.

@kiwi78 @marvinlapus @‌ Thank you all for your input. I have an order coming and hope from the choices I made I’ll have a few that I will enjoy for a while. Unfortunately, the Santo damingo was out of stock from the time I put in in my cart until I actually submitted my payment a few hours later. But not to worry I’ll have plenty to work with. Once my order arrives. I spoke to @mrsnuff last week and he explained to me that so many people are ordering right now, that by the time I hit the pay button it could be out of stock. Also it hard for them top keep up with updating the tracking numbers. I paid extra to have airsure with tracking. a month ago I got a tracking number within less than 24hrs. this time its three days and it still says processing. I’m putting the two together. I placed the order the same day He had the special on the @abraxas I’m wondering if that back logged the shipments? I hope that is not the case. If I paid extra. They should post tracking #'s .

I am hoping we will have an answer for you in the next couple of days.

Good news: Gekachelter Virginie is on the way. Should be back on the shelves in about a week.

Thanks @mrsnuff!

So @Friendlyman, have you received your order? And if you did, how was it?

@MarvinLapsus Your right I should come back and report. I’ll try to get back to you on that today or tomorrow. I need to look at everything I have tried and what I used seriously enough to be able to report.

@Friendlyman I have the two you mentioned coming, and 6 other Bernards. I ordered them because I liked the aecht altbayerischer so much. I also got the magic moments, because It looked like something good to do before bed. It’s pretty sweet. Its not a every night thing. Can’t wait to try some more, I’ll let you know how they compare personally.

I’ll try to do a short “personal” review on the snuffs I received a few weeks ago. This is how I feel about them now. I don’t know, maybe I’ll be in the mood of going back to some of them and give them another chance and change my mind. But for now this is what it is. @Coreymillia First about the Bernard Magic Moments. I like the smell of it but honestly I don’t think its something “I” will carry around with me. It has a very pleasant sweet aroma. Something like a good Pineapple or fruit punch drink. But now, when I put it up my nose I did not find much pleasure. All I smelled was the fruity aroma which “I” do feel is a little artificial. And I did not find the tobacco aroma I was looking for. I have to mention something I’v mentioned in other posts. I have a very sensitive nose to aromas, especially artificially fruity and flowery aromas so this one is out. It can trigger a migraine. The Bernard Aecht Alt Schmalzler & Aecht Bayr. Brasil FEINST. I’m just not sure about these two yet. I don’t hate it, but It’s not very tempting for me yet either. First, I can’t pick up the difference between the two. Maybe the latter dose have some what of a cocoa aroma as well. Which is not bad. They are both dryer then the "Zweifacher or Brasil Doppelt which doesn’t really bother me much. The aroma is something I can’t decide on. All I smell is a very smokey aroma. And I think that the nic on these are a little stronger not sure. The Fribourg & Treyer Santo Domingo seems to be a very moist snuff. So honestly I don’t get carry it around much since I think this might need to be transferred to a snuff box. Pinching out of the tall round tin won’t work. To me it has a very mushy like texture but not to wet. But on the other hand, it doesn’t hold well in a pinch. This is not something that would work well in transit. On the first sniff to the tin it smells a little like a good browny cake. You really need to take a firm pinch and get it in there. I did feel a slight burn with this one, but nothing bad. The aroma in the nose is a little mild but after a few minutes it starts to give me a nasal drip. And again I think the nic is noticeable in this one. Buzz Bubble Gum It seems like a good snuff. I like the aroma it gives when I revisit the tin. The aroma it has when sniffing out of the tin is more like a sweet cake smell. And when I pinched and snuffed it did smell like gum. But not much like anything else. So, I’m not sure what i’ll be doing with this one. For some reason, I find my self not only liking snuff for the buzz, but how it smells. And I find my self more and more liking a tobacco aroma. And besides the point going back to what I mentioned before about me and aromas not always agreeing with each other. But this is one snuff I wished I liked more. Maybe it smells more like the gum rack in a candy store. Paul Gotard Black I just don’t like it, to flowery for me. Now Viking Dark is also a new one fore me, but I think this one is here to stay for a while. I found one of the little glass snuff n spoon holders I once ordered. I fulled it up, and keep on going back for more. I just like the tobacco snuff aromas it has. It dose something for me. Bernard Brasil I had ordered it once in middle of the summer and added two more in my last order. From all the schmalzers I tried so far this is the one that’s pulling me back to use it again and again the most. It’s not to dry and not to moist, it has different aromas to it. a little tobacco a little cherry liqueur I think. I should mention that I did use Zweifacher for a few weeks. And I liked it a lot. But with that I should mention as well, that since I stopped using it and any other snuffs with menthol my nose dose not get clogged at all. So I have learned that menthol dose not agree with me as well. I do like Red Bull a lot. So once in a while I just steal a pinch. But not on a constant basis. Abraxas Cerise I know it needs to be transferred to snuff box. I just didn’t find the time to bother with yet. Honestly, I bought this one impulsively when the sale on the other one ran out. And I was curious to see what everyone is excited about. I didn’t even know what Cerise meant. I just opned the bottle gave a pinch. Also a very moist snuff that needs some patients I think. I put it in the refridgertaor as printed on the bottle. And when I get the time to honestly try it I’ll try to report back. One other snuff which I cant get enough of when I carry it around. Samuel Gawith Aniseed I ordered a few aniseed snuffs and this is the only one that I just cant stop shoving up. Sorry for this long rant. Hope you didn’t fall a sleep if you got this far.
