I didn’t use to feel that way, I had the strength of a spry farm boy, now I’m like the old hound dog on the porch.

@Snifs I am forever 13; but I have a pair of Carolina HH boots I bought new that are 38.

@Snifs yes they are well seasoned, they seen some wild times. if only they could talk. USA made. Worth every penny

@hgrissom Yes, when you’re on your feet all day it pays to have great footwear. I just wear Van’s skate shoes now.
@basement_shaman vans!! I forgot about them! Haven’t worn them since I quit skating many moons ago (like 2006 I think) they were super comfortable though. I usually wear Asics on my days off because I lift weights and they’re good for stability. I had major ankle surgery earlier last year, so I have this big brace and have to wear 8" tall boots etc. Gained a bunch of weight too what with not being able to walk for 3 months and limited activity for the three after that. It’s coming off though as I’m able to do more
@hgrissom Lucky you ,I have 4 surgeries last year lost 80 lbs mostly muscle. I doing my best to regain my strength. I can lift 4 lbs. It a far cry from 300lbs. Stay healthy my friend.
@basement_shaman that sucks, I lost muscle too, although not add much. My bench is down to 260 from 325 so that blows. I hope you’re recovering well
About to join this club. Age. Surgery to slow my age is next Friday, so the doctors say… I hope they are correct.
@nicmizer Hope all goes well. It successful if it slows your age. If you stop aging I’ll meet you on the other side. Best of luck to you. Get some powerful sore throat spray and lozenges for after they pull the breathing tubes out.
