The age distribution of Snuffhouse members will be graphed by this poll. Select the period in which you were born. Answers are anonymous. Be careful, the groups are in five year increments except the second to last is a 10 year increment. This was done because the poll set up is limited to 10 choices. To calculate the average age simply subtract the year groupings from the current year. e.g. 2013 - 1984 = 29 & 2013 - 1988 = 25; hence that year group represents 25 through 29 year olds.

I was born in 1952 so I’m Aaaaaaaa need more fingers?
Interesting how even the distribution is.

Thank you for the poll @Xander ! 77
Seriously how did you come up with the year ranges of each choice? The spans are all over the place… ***Edit*** Skip it. I see the logic, it just made the math in my brain cringe when looking at it. Plus the use of when to break… Just seems to me that doing it by decade would have been more sensible. Ken
I did it at 5 year intervals with the base year being 20 years old. I put the 1994 and later since I know we have some 19 year olds on the forum, but they must have been born in late 93 if they’ve responded.
Interesting how even the distribution is.
I agree, its better than a raw average which can be useful, but not really pertinent when the distribution is wide. The poll’s graphing feature shows it nicely.
I was thinking 1995 would make more sense as those born in 95 would mostly be 18 and as such of legal tobacco consumer age, at least here in the states. Ken
- Year of the first moon landing and a well known sexy position. I win.
1 month away from becoming an “official” senior citizen. (1948)
In these kind of polls babybooomers('45-'65 born about) always win, because there are so many of them!

I’m glad to see younger and younger people getting in to the hobby.
'76 and still learn something new everyday.
Very interesting results! Rather surprised by my age range ('73) being pretty much double the other ranges
This is serious. May I use my feeling age? Jaap Bes.

I’ll hit 50 in May. Hard to believe. Men in my family don’t seem to last much past 70, the women last much longer. Better take another pinch!

'79 let it be known. I played all the early gaming systems, intellevision, atari,… plus we had a Dig Dug cabinet in our living room for a time. and a pin ball machine before that, but I was a little too young for that one.

1979 during the reign of Queen Juliana. One year after we got Queen Beatrix and last year King Willem-Alexander who has a daughter Amalia. I hope to live long enough to see her becoming Queen and see her children, then I saw 5 generations…
- There are quite a few of us 81s, and quite a lot of us Germans.
I am ageless. I am the undead.
My age is inversely proportional to the amount of caffeine in my system. Thus I wake as the ageless undead, am middle-aged by late morning and sometimes annoyingly adolescent by the evening. Nevertheless, I remain chronologically 43 throughout.
Interesting - my vote (1975) puts my age group in first - by 1. Good thing I showed up in here I guess…
Older than dirt.
I’m not young enough to know everything.

Harry Truman was Prez when I was born. :-S
Old enough to remember black&white TV (with primetime cigarette commercials), JFK’s assassination, the Vietnam War, smoking pot with a guy who, a few months later, was killed there, Neil Armstrong stepping on to the moon, telling my dad that investing in this brand new company called Microsoft might be a good idea (he didn’t!), and gas prices shooting up to an unimaginable .75 cents/gallon (from like .40 cents) during the Opec Oil Crisis. I remember life before the Internet, and it was good.
I liked it when gas was .25 and Camels were $2.00/carton

Older than dirt.
I didn’t use to feel that way, I had the strength of a spry farm boy, now I’m like the old hound dog on the porch.

Damn…When I read the title of the thread “How old are you”…I thought my wife had joined the site :))
@Snifs I am forever 13; but I have a pair of Carolina HH boots I bought new that are 38.
@basement_shaman -Those are some sweet boots bro…looking pretty good for 38
@Snifs yes they are well seasoned, they seen some wild times. if only they could talk. USA made. Worth every penny
@basement_shaman I’m partial to my Ariat workboots. Stand up to the saw mill quite well http://www.ariat.com/WORKHOG\\_8\\_H2O\\_M\\_FOO.html?dwvar\\_WORKHOG\\_\\_8\\_\\_H2O\\_\\_M\\_\\_FOO\\_color=OILY\\_DISTRESSED\\_BROWN#start=1
@hgrissom Yes, when you’re on your feet all day it pays to have great footwear. I just wear Van’s skate shoes now.
@basement_shaman vans!! I forgot about them! Haven’t worn them since I quit skating many moons ago (like 2006 I think) they were super comfortable though. I usually wear Asics on my days off because I lift weights and they’re good for stability. I had major ankle surgery earlier last year, so I have this big brace and have to wear 8" tall boots etc. Gained a bunch of weight too what with not being able to walk for 3 months and limited activity for the three after that. It’s coming off though as I’m able to do more
@hgrissom Lucky you ,I have 4 surgeries last year lost 80 lbs mostly muscle. I doing my best to regain my strength. I can lift 4 lbs. It a far cry from 300lbs. Stay healthy my friend.
@basement_shaman that sucks, I lost muscle too, although not add much. My bench is down to 260 from 325 so that blows. I hope you’re recovering well
About to join this club. Age. Surgery to slow my age is next Friday, so the doctors say… I hope they are correct.
@nicmizer Hope all goes well. It successful if it slows your age. If you stop aging I’ll meet you on the other side. Best of luck to you. Get some powerful sore throat spray and lozenges for after they pull the breathing tubes out.
