I know this is heading towards off topic, but want to throw in my 2 cents. I grow poppies in the summer months because they look beautiful and add a lot of color to my garden. I also found out that the types I grow are opium poppies. I’ve collected the sap from the pods, and yes, its powerful stuff. But it tastes horrible! The most bitter substance I’ve ever experienced. I don’t think it’d work as a snuff additive, but I could be wrong. I once tried to make cannabis snuff, it was horrid and didn’t do anything at all. But the Afghan snuff: firstly, the label says “snuff for Afghanistan”, not “made in Afghanistan”, so I have concluded that it is Indian snuff. I did enjoy the little story of how it came to be, but I think it’s fiction, not reality. Someone correct me if you think I’m wrong. It is some type of Indian white snuff. Don’t get me wrong, I eagerly bought some when I first read about it. I like it, but its just another super fine, high nicotine, almost white snuff.
Well, most consumer products in Afghanistan are imported from India or Pakistan or Iran. They produce dried fruit, opium and rough, half finished carpets that are completed over the border, and not much else.
Anyone tried the black?
i gotta try the naswar. i usually use either makla or the oden swedish snusses… butdamn naswar looks good… absolutely love the white afghan snuff. it is my #1 hit
Other than the fact that I find it hard to understand why the so called high nicotine content is something so desirable and valuable in a snuff, or even contributing to a snuffs potency, I am really amused by the stories behind the products that actually sell these products more than their quality itself. My very limited IQ refuses the insult of being bought into this
I have no idea how that snuff might be, but my nose tells me from afar that if it needs such a story to be sold, it most probably is not worth. I might be wrong, but I prefer to be amused than deceived.
I am genuinely curious about the next unobtainable, ungodly, dangerously sourced powder coming from
another galaxy. Surely they must use snuff in Zeta Reticuli, I hope to live the day some time-travelling three-headed (that is 6 nostrils, beware) creature brings it to us unworthy humans.
:))
I had a look but saw that it is chewing tobacco which I am not into.
@Gilliat, y’know, strokes / folks. I really love the white snuffs. Not just the nicotine, but the acrid, sharp, gunpowder and vinegar of them. I just bought two more packets of the Afghanistan snuff. It makes a nice change from DW or the Elephant. No deceit involved. Just personal taste.
