Has anybody here tried the new Afghan snuff MrSnuff is offering?

This is the product I am talking about. https://mrsnuff.com/afghan-p-3915.html?osCsid=98d49290c8e40dab4cf25ac7112534a8

I dont know what the package actually says besides Afghan snuff, so I was wondering if anybody has tried this and can describe the scent?

No, but the story behind it’s becoming is interesting.

Think I’ll have to bag a tin, just for the curiosity value. I thought most of the so-called “snuff” from Afghanistan was more like gutkha or snuss. Although in one of his travel books, VS Naipul talks about exchanging a pinch with a guy over there.

Yeah it looks like an interesting product, though $50 (Aus) is a large commitment for a snuff nobody seems to have tried yet. I’m interested though probably going to wait until I can get at least one review.

@JakartaBoy if you end up picking up a tin, if you could report back on your impressions and opinions would be appreciated.

I looked up the Naipul book, “Amongst the Believers”.

We spoke to a young man who was dressed in the Pakistani fashion. He was moustached, with a tanned white skin and a jovial peasant face. But he was canny; he thought that we - in a government jeep - were government men; and the first thing he said to Masood was that the people of his camp had left Afghanistan many years before and now lived permanently on the Pakistan side of the border. Masood, not turning away from the young man or altering his voice, said to me in English, ‘He’s lying. He’s come from Kabul. He’s just been to Kabul. But he doesn’t want to get into any political trouble.’

The young man took out a brass snuff box. It was full of a dark green mixture of tobacco and herbs, a pinch of which was meant to be kept below the lower lip. He gave me some to try. I placed it on the tip of my tongue and as it moistened it pricked and was not unpleasant. He took in return a speck of my own brown tobacco snuff. It was too strong for him and he made no attempt to control his disgust; he sneezed and spat almost at my feet.

Naipul was quite a regular snuff user, as well as smoking pipes and tobacco. He once said “I’m a fiend for it.”

Hey Pikey - yes, I’ve tried it. There is little to no scent to it, and the consistency and base is similar to Cheeta or a white snuff in general. I find it stronger in nic than the Cheeta for sure. I use it to spike snuffs which I find are low in nic. I bought it since there are few fine white snuffs in the market and I’d like to try them all. P.S. - what’s with the poor British blood? Then what are so many other countries blood? Below poverty line?

@newbiesnuffer thanks for the information on this snuff, just wanting to make sure im not missing out on anything too unique.

@JakartaBoy your right the snuff is around $13.50 though with tax in Australia would be around the $50 mark. Most of my orders have been getting stopped by customs lately which costs an arm and a leg.

@newbiesnuffer , Afghan snuff works out at 880 rupees a 40 gram pot for me in the UK plus delivery …whereas I could buy over 150 grams of LA Natural for the same money . I m not a wealthy guy …That’s a lot of snuff  . I m fascinated by the Afghan though :).

For me in the UK,  smoking  tobacco is a luxury well beyond my means . 20 UK cigarettes cost about 850 rups at todays prices . So even a modest cigarette habit is 5950(?) rupee per week . My weekly income (low by UK standards) averaged out is probably 12000 rupees ,  , some weeks I consider myself lucky to make 8000 .

Fortunately I live a rural lifestyle and the land gives me free fuel and food so I don’t need much money to live well  . 8000 rups is all bills paid and enough left over to spend on a bit of fun every month …

Snuff prices are much more affordable .The taxes are much less .  British snuff is in the 240ish rupee/ounce mark …but can be as little as 120 rupee/ounce in bulk .

I have to be honest, going by the description I thought the Afghan snuff was some kind of joke. Based on the back story of where it came from and such… Now that I know it’s actually a thing, I kind of want one just to do a video about it!

Pikey where do you live. Sounds like a pretty chilled lifestyle, though I know every life has its pros and cons.

I’ve purchased it and it will be my first white snuff. It was just too interesting to pass up.
When it comes in, I’ll post here about it.

It is stronger in terms of nicotine than either Cheeta, Dholakia White or White Elephant.

I will be interested to hear your opinions.

Please post some reviews on mrsnuff.com if you don’t mind. That will let others have an idea of what they are getting into. This is definitely not for the faint of heart.

I ordered a case from Mr Snuff.

I know I 'am taking a chance, but what the hell.

I have just a feeling that it is going to be good.

And also if it will be hard to keep in stock, considering where it comes from and then I would like to have a decent supply.

@Hitsuzen - I’ve seen your videos. An ex-smoker like me! I’m using fine dry a lot these days (a gram a day, somedays more with other snuff). How much do you think I can take until I develop a serious tolerance?

BTW - like your videos a lot! Very non-orthodox.
