ewehh, nasty.
@Bart, the bun in your hand you are sure of, it’s there. The buns in the oven might still be a flop. So, it’s better to have one bun in your hand than two in the oven. Same as like “don’t count your chickens before they’ve hatched”. Well, at least that is how I understand it.
Ahhh I understand… Giaach had me going there . 'Cause my grandma was from England, and I use to say certain things to my friends, and my grandma would dissaprove and say, “Don’t call your friend a bugger!” It made me laugh when I was old enough to understand what she meant
.
Fanny Pack…gotta love that one
Lol Dave wtf is a fanny pack? Some slang for a tampon or summat lol? Stefan
Summat= Northern English slang for the word something. Stefan
Yer ducks we in Yoksher understans the berd in the and werf toin the bush.
“Rum, Sodomy and the Lash!” Churchills comment about the Royal Navy probably resulted in a lot of “in the closet” alcoholic, S&M, Buggery fans signing up for the chance launch a little torpedo at a chocolate starfish. (No, I don’t know what I am talking about. I’ve been awake for 41 hours, steady sipping on the Cutty Sark and trying to talk the wife into working things out)
Churchill loved snuff. Take it from me and tell everyone you know!
@Walrus1985 A fanny pack is a like a small bookbag/satchel that you can wear around your waist. In the US they are called Fanny Packs and are typically worn by tourists stuck in 1992. Due to the sexual connotations of the word “fanny” I believe they are called “bum bags” in the UK
The Hobo Movement in the US have recently taken offense to the term ‘bum bags’ or the more explicit “bum sack” so we’ve gone back to fanny here.
Ah a bum bag. I know what they are now. Cheers giaach. Stefan
Probably also helped some people break the news to their family to. Dad you know how I always wanted to be a sailor. Well churchhill was right. Me I hate boats.
Fanny pack hahaha!! Naughty connotation on both sides of the pond…US= rear end UK= Female’s no no regions, and technically they can both be “packed”. OK i went too far there…my bad!
LOL oh man, that was quite awesome
Anyone tried these new F&Ts yet?
Just what I was thinking Khalid, would love to get some opinions on them.
I’ll be ordering the two new F&T flavors on my next order. And as soon as I get them I will review 'em!
Got the two new flavours from F&T this week. Very impressed with the Bureau but somewhat underwhelmed by the patchoulie (smells a bit like harpic).
I received Bureau yesterday, and it’s very nice - I would classify it as somewhere between WoS Jockey Club and F&T Seville: it smells “clean” like the former, and “fresh” like the latter. More objectively, it’s medium-brown-to-orange in color, medium-fine grind and medium-high moisture. I can’t find specific notes that I recognize, but I’d hazard there is some petit-grain (or something like that, citrusy without zest) and something more floral without being too perfumey. The scent is rather powerful but not too clogging (on the contrary, it kinda makes my nose runny) and definitely not too lingering - nothing like F&T Morlaix, for instance; also, the nic content seems a tad higher than most of the other F&Ts I’ve tried, and second only to HDT. To sum it up, while it’s not exactly an all-day, every-day snuff for me, it’s certainly one I will carry very often with me - I suspect it will be very useful in the coming months when I take the underground: something to help mask the fragrance of my fellow travellers is always welcome =)
