It’s pretty much the same at McGahey’s in Exeter - they only have a limited selection actually in the shop, in spite of what they offer online.
Well I received these in the post today and its a rather mixed bag to be sure both good and not so good. Strawberry - The strawberry i can only describe as perfumed or floral strawberry and i’m not a huge fan of floral so this will be a pinch now and again for me. Cotswold - This is listed as citrus but again its perfumed first and citrus second again a pinch now and again. 29 Special - This is very complex and beautifully done its hot spicy predominately with citrus floral and perfume all coming through as undertones and i love this one. Both the Toasts are excellant and are moist and darker than expected but they are not to be missed if you are a fan of toasts and will definately be on the list of snuffs i re-order. Hobsons Choice - This was sadly out of stock and i have been told also discontinued. All of these products i received are very very fresh so i can recommend these without hesitation to anyone who is thinking of placing an order.
Ermtony, you pay 90 pence for a litre of petrol. We pay R5.97 per litre and we are SO happy because 2 months ago it was still R10.27 !! We pay ± R14.00 for £1.00 so, a tin of snuff which will cost you say £2.99 is R41.86 for me without P&P. P&P normally is £3.72 for about 8 tins, so it adds another R52.00 to my bill!! But, it’s still MUCH cheaper than smoking 40 cigarettes per day as I did, and there are no health risk. See, that’s why use imported snuff, South African snuff “Causes Cancer” !!! Cheers Pieter
Well, I couldn’t resist and put in a small order with Tranter’s. Irish High Toast Snuff #20 Light Toast Snuff #22 Beau Nash Dr Johnson Gold Label Princes Unfortunately they were out of stock of the Princes so that will have to wait for another time. On the plus side delivery was fast, if less fast than Toque or Snuff Store. The toasts and the Gold Label are definitely different to the Wilson’s snuffs of those names and all are very nice indeed. I’ll get reviews up on the Snuff Reviews site as soon as possible.

I was spoilt for choice! Decided I would go with the plainer ones this time and try some of the more flavoured ones next time. Seems like a plan! From your reviews the Regency sounds well worth a try.
Is it just me or is Tranter’s site really down? Quick edit - seems to be back up again now…
They closed on of their shops recently, according to their website. I wonder what that is all about.
