first snuff and bloody nose

Interestingly the eight glasses thing started at the same time that bottled water started to really be pushed. Kind of suspcious don’t you think. I’am of the school that my body is pretty damn good at regulating it’s needs. I drinks water when it wants water just like I stick snuff up my nose when it wants some snuff. Good thing I don’t get the two backwards that might hurt badly.

@bob LOL

The eight classes of water thing started when they were pushing three glasses of milk a day and meat twice a day with 2 veg, back in the 50s. Then like all scientific fact, things changed and they decided the “food group” diet would give you a heart attack. Things have changed a lot. Back in the 30s and 40s they dispensed asthma medicine in cigarettes. The doctor would send you to the drug store to buy a little pack of asthma cigarettes. Tell that to a modern physician and he’ll call you a liar, but it is true.

It is, I remember seeing them in Chemists shops in London - that must have been the 80’s as well so they obviously existed a long while.

Tobacco is great for asthma in the short term at least.

@bob – I’ve seen talk in places on here about how there used to be ‘asthma cigarettes’ and I’m really curious what was actually in them, just what asthma medication was put in those cigarettes and were they otherwise tobacco cigerettes etc. I will also admit I have studied my little asthma medicine machine and I have pondered the notion of what else besides standard asthma medication could be used in there (maybe e-cigarette liquid or the possibility of making ‘liquid snuff’ from a bit of nasal snuff, etc, I don’t know… I stay at the just pondering stage with this).
