Abraxas

By the way, I have just received a sample of this legendary snuff in the post - exquisite, like a mix of cafe royal and princes mixture plus flavours all of its own.

I’m sure hoping we’ll know when it’s available for purchase and that I’m quick enough on the uptake to get some when the moment comes. This is very intriguing, sounds wonderful.

I suggest you start badgering Mr Snuff:) The snuff is medium/coarse and seems to have several favours present at once; its a very rich, earthy brown snuff, inhaling the aroma from the jar you get a sweet, spicy tang and the pinch gives cognac, coffee, pepper plus something that I can’t quite define. I can in all honesty say I have never tried anything like it; simply superb.

Just ordered some from Mr. Snuff

Wow, £8.26 for 15g!

Just put my order in and $13 for 15g it better be damn good.

Yes! Just bought.

right on. I’m ordering some tomorrow.

Hey guys, WOW! what a response. I can’t believe it has almost sold out on day one. I better see if I can get more. This is the problem I suppose with small hand-crafted batches. It is not produced on any sort of industrial scale. Dave

Great. I knew it would sell out in one day. I haven’t even gotten a chance to order it yet!

I don’t think it is sold out yet.

get on the move @transistor … gotta getcha some … who knows when a new batch will be in the offing …

Woo-hoo! I snagged me some…looking forward to this! I’m moderately interested in gnostic theology anyways, so the name just adds to the attraction. Couldn’t let this pass me by.

@snuffbrant Got some! This stuff better be good for that kind of price! I’ve heard nothing but good things about it so…

It’s actualy civette poo dried and ground up. Good stuff if you don’t think about that.

I figured I’d give it a try- it’s rare apparently so… why not? damn last time I missed an opportunity like this Spanish Jewel came and went! We all know how that stuff turned out!

I just ordered 2 edm

I ordered one, earlier. Hopefully should get it Monday. Stefan

I’ve got one on the way, too, but it will take until the end of next week. :frowning:

Enjoy every grain, lads, as Abraxas is a World Record breaker. This is the most expensive snuff ever sold. Compare it with today’s prices and then with those listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most expensive. Ā£8.25 for 15 grams of Abraxas is 55 pence per gram. UK drums average Ā£29 for 454 grams, just over sixpence per gram. Pricey Fribourg & Treyer costs Ā£5.85 for 56 grams (2oz), just over 10 pence per gram. Abraxas is therefore nine times more expensive then the average UK drum snuff and more than five times the cost of F&T snuff. Taking about 8 grams of Abraxas daily would cost Ā£1,606 annually instead of just Ā£175, which is roughly what I pay now. The pertinent question (from my point of view) is whether Abraxus is nine times as good as the offerings from Sheffield and Kendal? I’m expecting a sample so will decide then. How does this massive price compare with snuffs listed in the 1965 Guinness Book of Records as the world’s most expensive? Both Cafe Royale and Fribourg & Treyerā€˜s Santo Domingo then retailed at 16/0 for 28 grams (one ounce). Using an online inflation guide gives Ā£1/0 in 1965 as Ā£12.96 . The previous World Record was therefore Ā£10.29 for 28 grams or roughly 37 pence per gram - and this included the steep Customs and Excise duty. Abracadabra! Abraxas beats all this by being half as expensive again without even paying any duty. Also, who makes this record breaking snuff?
