Crumbs Of Comfort is pretty sharp on the nose. The only WoS’s snuff I like is #22. No other will do 
I don’t get down to crumbs of comfort. I like wintergreen. I like spearmint, but I agree with you, CoC is way too hard on my nose. It’s like a menthol almost.

I wanted to like Rum Raisin but have found it to be quite bland and uninteresting.
I stumbled across this thread while looking for something else, and a lot of the older threads do mention that someone has found a snuff from WoS that is dry and bland. This can be changed very easily with a little extra hydration (using an indirect method). Not only does the standard grind accept extra hydration quickly (overnight), but it does tend to add a little zing back into the scent, so long as you don’t over hydrate it. With coarser grinds (I have some Toque Coltfoot in the “rehydration chamber” right now) this can sometimes take a few days to recover. In this instance I would advise replacing the damp tissue either daily, or every two days at the most to avoid anything bacterial developing.
