Well DanW you are certainly not from around here then ;). For one thing and I quote “good jobs”, which I assume doesn’t mean my parents pay for everything so I can live somewhere they don’t have to be embarressed by me. Which is usaly part of it in this area.
Thank god for Toque bullets… all I can say. For the full snuff ceremony I hit the restrooms.
One of my first snuff in public experiences. For real, I don’t get out much. Tin in polo shirt pocket, out of the store exit, tin out and open, single right nostril pinch, no sneeze, no pain, closed tin back into shirt pocket, quick nose dusting with a finger, done. Nobody around even had a clue. It was great!
@danw1988 although drugs aren’t a safe topic here, MDMA is NOT harmless. It is terrible for your brain. The friends I had that did it growing up are complete retards now. Plenty of research backs this up, too. Just sayin…
Well there really isn’t much research that actualy backs it up. It’s hard to study brain damage. You really have to disect to really be sure. Then you have to make sure that it is the thing you think it is by checking with a lot of people who have done the same. There just aren’t enough people willing to kill themselves for science to find out. And just because someone testable levels are low doesn’t mean damage it strongly indicates the possiblity but damage not so easy to prove. There are lots of things that will drop activity in the brain that are definatly temporary. When you’re tired your brain sucks, when you go through caffine withdraw your brain sucks too. Now transistor your other point does hold out from my experience. OF course most of the people I’ve known have done enough else that isn’t healthy to not be sure. Just really wanted an excuse to drop a science lesson.

I’m more careful with toasts in public but otherwise don’t have any etiquette.
My favorite spot is right under the “No Smoking” sign. Bob… I had a terrible time finding moustache wax for years. Finally they started selling it on Amazon – quite a variety too. For all you others out there… If you REALLY want the full effect, you need a handlebar moustache!
Going for a handle bar myself. Though it’s going to be a split handle bar where the middle is removed.
I’ve just got back from Greece, where you don’t see any from of tobacco apart from Marlboro cigarettes, seemingly. I snuffed from my silver snuff box in bars, restaurants, wherever - not a single eyebrow raised. But I think If I had been nervous of doing it I would have seen lots of raised eyebrows, ie - you see what you expect to see.
So true. If you act like you should be doing it it’s amazing how much people don’t notice. Then again we are designed more to pick up on subtle hard to control signals from other people automaticaly more so then laws and regulations. Or in this case perceived potentialy law and regulation.
@transistor and @bob Like you’ve said Bob, brain damage is a hard thing to measure, but the evidence out there that is causes damage is pretty thin on the ground. I’m sure it’s not good for your brain, but taken once a month at most, I find it hard to believe any permanent damage is being done. I know it’s a cliched thing to say, but a lot of the studies on the drug tend to either come from the pro-drugs camp, or the anti-drugs camp, both of which have an agenda to follow. Havings said that I’m sure a couple of years ago the UK’s Drug Advisory Council (a group of scientists who advise the government which class drugs should be in, then don’t get listened to) ranked the twenty most commonly used recreational drugs in terms of harm to self and society, and MDMA came in at something like 18th or 19th, and way behind drugs like alcohol, tobacco and cannabis. I’m pretty sure it came from them anyway.
I would have to agree with the other posts, it does cause brain damage. I used to use a lot, and now I have brain damage. Hearing voices ect. All because of MDMA. Thats what every doctor has said its from.
Oh but I’m sure Brandasaur has an agenda to follow so… That’s always the argument. If a doctor or scientist has PROOF well then they just have vested interest. Spoken like a true addict. From my experience, drug abusers are great at justification. IMO To say cannabis is worse for your brain than MDMA is hilarious. And you can argue all you want, but there’s no way to PROVE that what you have is PURE MDMA. Unless you yourself, are a scientist… or own a Gas Chromatograph
Yo show how un-hip I am, I have no idea what MDMA is.
@nachman the active ingredient in Ecstacy. You know, the part that LITERALLY makes holes in your brain. It’s a fact that I thought was well known…
In fact, in ten seconds I just did an online search and found an article from a reliable online source that ecstacy use EVEN WHEN ONLY TAKEN ON A FEW OCCASIONS can cause severe brain damage. I’m not making this up. Go look there’s articles all over the place! The only ones I’ve found that deny any kind of negative effects are (of course) from sources I’ve never even heard of. Hmmm… Choose what you want to believe. I know that when I had a BRAINspect done to detect my brain activity and my Neurologist showed me spectrums from MDMA users, you can SEE the holes there. I don’t know why he’d make that up…
I personally know people that made themselves retarded from MDMA, we call them e-tards (people who are retarded from taking too much E)
People lets get back on topic please. There are plenty of forums for discussing MDMA, this isn’t the one to get into a heavy discussion. I say snuff where you feel comfortable doing so and don’t when you don’t feel comfortable. The thing is it’s about enjoying the snuff so whatever floats your boat is the thing to do.
yea, i just pop open the tin, leave her open on the bar and pinch ‘n’ sniff away. After a while, the more curious folks come and start a conversation or even have a go. I prefer a tap box when I’m in the cinema with the kids, just 'cos it’s easier to handle in the dark.
