     Just a general question, I tried searching but came up with nothing. 

Do you guys Snuff in Public, or do you normally go to a bathroom or an area where not many people are?

It depends on the situation ( family knows I snuff but complains when I do), but usually I do it in the open. Once you get the hang of pinching it’s easy to do without drawing much attention…For family situations I will find a private place usually, but snuffing in the bathroom reminds me of school.

In public. Certainly. I really feel no reason to hav shame about it.

Yes, whenever the urge takes me. The most I get from people is mild curiosity but on the whole I don’t think people notice. I live in London though and I am guessing you are in the U.S.

Yes I do. Especially in cafes, a nice relaxing cuppa and some snuff. Perfect.

If I really want a pinch and I’m in public I try to do it without being obnoxious.  I’m tired of having the 'what’s that" convo.  If I knew it might drive them to try it I wouldn’t mind, but most people just turn their noses up at me as they take a pull from their cigarette (I love the ewwww convo though, because then I can say “you’re SMOKING A CIG and you think I’M GROSS?”)

I take a pinch in public as often as I would take a pinch in private.  I also relish the looks and conversations that it provokes.  I have a pretty good record for getting people to try it, even if they initially think it’s appalling.  I’m trying to spread the gospel!

In public yes. I recently switched to a bullet for public use. Its funny when I pull out the glass jar with the spoon attached to the top and use that one its quite funny to hear what kind of illegal drugs they think I’m doing at first but I have to quickly explain its tobacco

@transistor  I tend to agree with you.  I’m in the Army and took up Snuffing shortly before deploying to Afghanistan.  Most of the guys in my unit have seen me do it and I’ve converted a few already.  I’m only asking the question for when I redeploy to the normal world.  I don’t plan on stopping but probably will try to be somewhat descreet about it.

Yeah I wouldn’t worry too much- I’m 29 and I snuff in public sometimes and it’s really not that big of a deal.  Sometimes people do ask though, so I usually tell them.  Just get used to people not knowing what you’re doing though lol

Which can be a good thing. People tend to leave crazy people alone.

Snuff away…I usually place my days collection on the table in front of me (at least 4-5 varieties), and just snuff away as normal. I don’t care what people think…as long as your not too self-conscious of what your doing probably nobody will even notice…and if they do, well you’ve got an audience to convert!!

Of course. Anywhere bar the inside of a church or during mass - I discovered it was instant excommunication, but fine in every other circumstance. I make a point of taking a pinch before doing anything. I’ve even taken snuff at formal dinners.

Taking a pinch in public can be a great conversation starter and a great way to make new friends.  Never be timid.

The only place I won’t take a pinch is in the nave or sanctuary at church.  If I feel the need to take a pinch (for decongestant purposes) at that time, I go out into the narthex.

I’ve even been known to take a pinch in the box while on jury duty!

I understand how it can feel at first, especially if you are sensitive to how you appear in public, but just get into the habit and you will quickly find that you forget to worry about it. Of course you should be polite about it and maybe some venues are probably not ideal for snuff taking. I never ask if I can take it if I find myself in someone’s home unless they know me, but that’s just a conditioned response from when I was a smoker. In desperation you could just use a bathroom visit for a sly pinch.

I don’t think much about it. The last time I found myself thinking about snuffing in public was last time I did my laundry and this old “Bitch”(she certainily earned that title) she gave everyone the stink eye including myself and her particular type of stink eye was the oh I hate you you are doing something horrible. Then after I thought oh I shouldn’t who knows what a crazy mean woman like that will react, then I thought what do I care what she thinks (she’s alread demonstrated that her opinion is lame by looking at everyone like they commited some crime already). Awesome side note that lady ended up stealing a cart that belonged to the laundrymat, and yet she seemingily didn’t approve of anyone else being alive (that’s all I could figure she had to judge people on).

Should be able to snuff whenever and wherever.  But if you are feeling like being discreet, just use a metal bullet.  Naysayers will just think you are taking your medication.

If someone can’t outline adult privilege to their child, that’s those twos loss. I learned how to smoke, drink, cuss, spit and snuff in the company of older men that knew what’s up. Encouraging children to become addicts is criminal and shows your lack of iq. It’s very apparent you have learnt nothing from your own personal experiences and are willing to inflict the same harm onto the next generation. Been a smoker or drugie isn’t smart or wise and i don’t know a smoker or drugie that doesn’t wish they had never taken up the habit unelss they are a complete and utter braindead moron.

My first times snuffing in public I was a bit hesitant, here in Spain snuff has completely disappeared from the public knowledge so anyone that saw me take a bump will immediately think that I was taking cocaine, I had very rough looks, lots of hush hush and pointed fingers…

As time went by learned that trying to do it with mild “concealment” was worse, as of now I snuff openly without hesitation and without excessive spectacle, nowadays I don´t get a lot of attention and when I get it it´s mainly polite questions.

The only consideration I have doing it in public is to avoid messy snuffs that make my nose run a lot since I don´t want to be seen in public with black snot hanging from my face…

Everyone on this little island seems to assume it’s an illicit substance. As it happens I don’t care much about what others think, but tend to avoid drawing attention by snuffing in busy places - come to think of it I tend to avoid busy places regardless of what I’m doing.

In the UK here, I snuff anywhere and everywhere. Never been questioned about it, some old boy in my local pub took a pinch though.

Nobody has ever approached me about it but then again I live in San Jose, California and downtown smells of weed everywhere, but I do get the occasional bewildered look from passersbys like I have two heads because they simply don’t understand it. Their opinion doesn’t much matter to me and I would be happy to educate them and offer them a pinch.
