Sun Snuff - Pari

I also like the Pari much… Pari & Rasili are my summer snuffs now… tasty and refreshing under the sun.

@didi878 Thanks. Will you be so kind and post a review at Snuffstore.de for Rasili and Pari.

I will certainly order some when it becomes available to US customers. I guess my purchase moratorium will have to end sometime.

@abhishekbisawa: I will do that this week… your snuff deserves a good review

All 4 varieties says that they contain menthol. How pronounced is the menthol?

Very little… i don t notice it… At snuffstore.de they descripe the rasili as snuff flavoured with citric oil and menthol… thats a bad description. Its not a citric/menthol snuff. As abhishekbisawa mentions It has 12 different perfumes in it… more delicious for me than citric.

Aha - interesting! I like the Indian snuffs from Dholakia that I’ve tried, Kamal, Manjul, Ganga, and Chakali. I prefer the Indian line. I do sense some menthol in Ganga, but it doesn’t bother me (as an incarnate hater of mentholated snuffs:o) I’m glad you say this, because citric and menthol does not seem very attractive as a blend to me. I might place an order now actually .o)

I think the Indian way of using menthol in snuff is not really comparable to either the English or German ways. The 5 Photo Himayala is a good example. Also too is Ganga as Viking points out. I tend not to mind menthol as much when done this way.

The 5 Photo Himalaya is the only menthol I can take all day without getting clogged up. I love that snuff!

I’m glad you and everyone has enjoyed it. Oh, on Aug 28th, my birthday, I am going to lunch at that Indian restaurant, that is next to the Indian grocery where I got these Indian snuffs. I’ll pick up some for anyone that wants them. I’ll need a paypal payment of them, plus $3 for postage in the US. Since I hear paypal is odd about tobacco, if you have to include a message, call them incense please. Whisper me, and I’ll make a note of what to get, if anything. That’s the 5 Photo Himalaya, Sudar Sughand Rose, and Madras. I’ll see if they have any new stuff too.

Happy Birthday in case Pieter forgets to remind us on the 28th!

@xander Yes , because it all depends on the process of adding menthols and other perfumes and also other perfumes menthol is used with. All of our snuff are perfumed but at the same time they are not very harsh. The perfume is blended in such a way that it feels very pelasant. @didi878 I am still waiting for reviews.

@tom502 I just saw your post regarding Upper lip Tobacco and other grades. In India we have both uper lip tobacco which is moist and flavored dry tobacco leafs. I my self don’t take these forms of tobacco but I love the aroma it’s so nice. The also comes in different strengths. I don’t know but do you have snus and chewing tobacco legal in US.

abhishekbisawa- yes, all that is legal here. I use alot of the Swedish, and Danish made snus, both loose tobacco and in filter portion, see getsnus.com. The American made snus(Camel) is not so good, compared with the imported, I don’t like it. Chewing tobacco, like fine cut dip, sometimes called spit tobacco, as well as loose leaf in a bag is popular here, but I don’t like it. On the thread “on keeping a beard” is a pic of me during my Swami days.

@abhishekbisawa, sorry its 101° F in my computer room at the moment, the hottest part of the summer should be over tomorrow  The review will come very soon…

I think people are put off menthol because of the massive amounts of it in some snuffs, when its used very sparingly it can act a bit like a flavour enhancer.
