I recently broke into my Sun Sher and Pari Snuff that I bought from Tom a couple months back, I had been intentionally keeping them in my snuff chest until I had run through my huge collection of 10g and under flip tops. All I can say is WOW. Both the Sher and the Pari are incredible. To me the Pari is a real standout. I was just absolutely blown away and fell in love with the Pari at first sniff. Has anyone tried any of the other 3 Sun varieties Tom carries? If so are they as good as the Sher and Pari. I’ve really been developing a love for Indian Snuff since i had my free sample of Dholakia Limited Raspberry and now with trying Sun it’s just increasing that respect.
Kokinoor and Rasili are on par with the Sher and Pari, definitely worth trying. My personal preference, I do not care much for the Rangeeli however.
I really like the Pari, there is just something about it after the initial mentol-like note dissipates, that is just incredible. I plan on trying all of them at one point or another. I was just curious as to how many others had tried them and what their favorites were in general. Maybe even sniff out some other “standout” Indian varieties. I’ve tried alot of Dholakia’s and will be getting some 5 photo on my next order. There is this stuff called “Swastik” that I would like to get my hands on and try but so far not too much luck there
There are many hard to find Indian snuffs I’d like to get. Of the Sun Snuffs, I thought they were all great except Rangeeli. Maybe that one is good for cleaning your teeth, I don’t know, but I didn’t like it, but the others were great, to me. The 5 Photo Snuffs are great too. The Dholakia traditional Indian line(Sparrow, Sparrow Cool, Ganga, Kamal, Manjul) are different than those(apart from the cool, all non menthol). I like them a whole lot as well. I want the Arora snuffs, but like many, I can’t find them.
I love, love, love the Pari! I also adore the Kohinoor, and am a big fan of the Rasili (though not as much as the two aforementioned). If you like the Sher, you might like the Rangeeli. I do not care for either; but to each his own.
