OK gentlemen, I have heard you and last night while watching the tube I made a few changes to the twist recipe. It had been too bitter, but increasing the amount of aniseed oil fixed the flavor! It’s stronger than the original and just as long lasting. Several members have mentioned a desire for a variety of flavors. I plan to try this next with clove oil; It has a natural sweetness and it complements tobacco. At some future time I will probably make these in honey/lemon, spearmint, peppermint, black coffee, etc. But right now I want to get it dialed in for aniseed flavor. When the batch I made last night is completely dry, I will be ready so send out more samples. Anyone with a desire to evaluate these should signify it by emailing me again at aztopstitcher@gmail.com. This is open to those who didn’t participate in the first round. While supplies last…all the best!
That was some snuff I made from plain Thai “Yellow” tobacco and flavored Mexican brandy. Like it?
Well I suppose brandy is made from grapes, as are raisins - it should not be surprising to find some similarity in flavor.
snuff burger sounds like a lewd euphemism for something…well, lewd and dirty. “Yeah, I had the wife bent over the bedrail Saturday night and I gave her the ol’ SnuffBurger!”
stitch, any chance to get a free sample of those burgers?
Roam, I am remiss in not sending out all the requested burgers. I have a small business to run, and I don’t have any help with it. So sometimes I get swamped. Everyone please understand I will send out the new batch just as soon as possible. To keep me from getting confused, please email me at aztopstitcher@gmail.com so I can archive all requests and deal with them all at once. I will be happy to include you in my next mailing. I am making the next batch stronger in flavor and nicotine. A real bomb.
I found a stray snuffburger in the drawer I keep my snuff yesterday. It was one from the first batch of samples. It still tasted great and was essentially the same as far the texture, how it dissolved, etc. So I guess my point is they keep pretty well. Hey stitch, have you been experimenting with the snuffburgers any lately?
Wow, those things sound interesting!
I would like to try them too. Seems we missed out…:}
Star Scientific makes dissolving snuff “pills”. They sit in your mouth and just dissolved like a mint or candy would. They are sold under the name “Stonewall”.
I’ve had Stonewall. They are too sweet for more than occasional use for me. Stitch’s burgers were more subtle, but very tasty. Plus they lasted longer.
Hi snuffburger fans! I will be making another batch of these for further testing. I agree, they don’t seem to get 'stale" . I got a bunch of stonewall dissovlable tobacco tablets a while ago, and I suppose they are ok, (if you like arificial sweetners) but I’d prefer my own confection. Of course I am biased! When the time comes I will send out some more along with a stonewall tab for direct comparison. Snuffburger vs Stonewall. I will be compiling statistics from this test to help get an idea how the market might accept them.
I’ve had the stonewall and wasn’t impressed. I gave away the rest of a pack in trades. I was thinking about your snuffburgers and how it would be cool if they came packed in the same way as a roll of lifesavers. With old drugstore typewriting. Or perhaps in a smaller altoids type tin.
I like the paper roll idea. Any flavor suggestions? I was thinking clove for the next batch.
YES CLOVE!!!
I think clove sounds good also.
Cinnamon. Butterscotch.
I have 2 Snuffburgers in my lip right now…very tasty indeed.
Whats the update withn these little beauties Stitch?
i hope youve got a few left! i shot ya an email. thanks in advacne (either way the chips fall)
