It came from one of the oldest pages on the site. I bumped it because the link in it is still active, and kind of useful.
Its a good little info site. The old snufftobacco uk seems defunct now.
Great site. It’s a good all around information site for those who are beginning and those who don’t snuff or find it weird.
I may or may not have found a typo. In the Snuff and Health section, third paragraph, it states, “Medicated snuffs, flavored by using metholated crystals, eucalyptus oils or camphor, once dominated folks’ medicine chests because they were recognized as being a great cure for a stuffy head.”
Is it supposed to be “metholated crystals”, or “mentholated crystals”?
Just something that I noticed and thought about for a moment. No offense intended.
It should really be “menthol crystals” which are the things one mentholates with. But why raise the point of a typo here? Typos are in abundance internet-wide. Also, I doubt if the author of the site comes here, plus its five or six years old. Who could you possibly offend?
