yeah even when the next day I Think darn I did too much snuff I don’t feel horrible just sneezy and dried out in my nose. Which is usaly corrected by being more moderate during the morning.
I can’t use snuff before bed or else it drips in my sinuses when i lay down. When I wake up, it feels like my throat is sore and I’m stuffed up.
Probably my favorite time to snuff is right before bed. Gives me sweet dreams.
i try to avoid it because of the backdrip dries up or something to that effect right at the place the nose connect to the throat making me have a dry painful throat in the morning and it takes quite a bit of effort to get rid of the irritation
Old thread, but here’s my experience. I always take snuff before I go to bed. I used to take whatever snuff was in my rotation that day, but for the last few weeks, I find myself reaching for W. E. Garret and Sons scotch snuff. It’s sitting on my nightstand. I sleep great and it gives me amazingly vivid, crazy dreams. My nose is slightly dry when I wake up, but I haven’t noticed any other significant ill effects. I have a glass of water within reach in case of a backdrip.
Sounds good to me !
I usually use White Elephant or sometimes Dream Catcher / Puro Dominicana. I can vouch for the Dreams :-"
I’ve never been a cigarette smoker. I smoke pipes and cigars. My go to bedtime snuff is Old Mill kind of blue.
I take a few big pinches of USA W&H right before I lay down. The dreams are amazing.
I only use snuff before I go to bed.never used snuff while I am sleeping. But I do use Los snus to sleep with and get some vivid dreams that feel real !
night time snuffs, I’d think sweeter and floral varaities would be at home here as opposed to spice/menthol heavy.
If I take White Elephant, I’am awake all night
Always have a hit just before laying down for the night. G’Day
I always have two tins of snuff at my bedside - 6 Photo Kailash, and SG Vanilla. My nose has never worked very well, and one side or the other would always feel blocked at night, with the other side not much better, and I find both do an excellent job of opening my airways before bed. I sometimes have to have a top up in the night too, if I wake and feel a bit blocked.
Kailash is known as a decongestant, but why SG Vanilla should do the same job I don’t know. Wilson’s Jockey Club used to do it too, I should get some more of that…
786 @Stoveburn, I agree 100 percent. Some of my all-time favorite bedtime or “go back to sleep, it’s only 2 am” snuffs include WoS Royal George, Wilson’s Rose of Sharrow, Wilson’s Lavender, F&T Princes, Princes Special and Old Paris. And sometimes a sweet scotch.
