@ Koba22, not 60 years of snuffing, as I didn’t start seriously quiet a few years later. I also smoked cigs, cigars and pipes, but quit smoking April 1944. I enjoyed my last smoke in my then local. And announced to all; “this is my last smoke”, and it was!
@snuffhead You quit smoking in 1944 at the tender age of 3? I’d say you’re way ahead of the game…lol. I know you meant 1994.

I agree with Pieter. And anybody knows that using a snuff spoon is just another gimmick “they” try to sell to you. All you need is your claws and your snout ( I love that word, thanks @Snuffhead)
@Micheltn Nice wording! I can’t for the life of me remember who, but a while back I was told that the warmth n oil in your skin enhances the aroma of the snuff. the only time my snuff touches a spoon is in transit to a smaller container!
thems fighting words. Snuff spoons are a great way to use snuff.
lol bob! consider it overcompensation for my inability to use a spoon! for some reason i just can’t get that fine tuned touch with a spoon, and end up with a lung (or two) full of snuff 
the spoon or the pinch both take practice. I find the spoon more consistent but more sensitive.
i would imagine the spoon to be MUCH more consistent, both with the “dosage” and less waste…i guess i’ll just have to set aside some time and really practice. i have a habit of “if at first you don’t succeed, screw it and go back to what you know”!
I allways pinch with HDT… It’s the only way in my opinion… I’ve never tried a snuff spoon yet just bullets which I only use with Toque… Pinching is the tried and true way.
At the bottom half of the tube I’m using a shovel for my HDT. A hell of a lot more can be taken easier this way.
I get a kick out of these spoon vs pinch exchanges! 
I started out a few months ago using a spoon for everything, learned the hard way that pinching is the way to take toasts, started pinching other snuffs and found I got better flavor with some than I did using a spoon. I still spoon some rather than pinch – I spoon Toque Bourbon for example because I can get more up my schnoz that way. I have a whole collection of spoons of various sizes that work for different snuffs or for transferring. I’ll never completely give up my spoons because there’s way less waste that way, but pinching is definitely a nice warm and organic way to take snuff! I’m working on the pinky flash now. I guess it remains to be seen what the next seven months will bring…
