Ok, well I have recently been diving my nose into all my new snuff I received. Here are the ones I had never tried that I got on that order. F&T HDT - This is very smokey and strong, great nic hit for me. Not an all day snuff but I love the tin and the smell. Toque Lime Toast and Natural Toast- Like both of these. NT is my favorite of them because LT just hasnt sttod out to me. I must say I can never decide between F&T HDT or Toques NT so I use both back to back, lol SG Lodon Brown, KB, and Scotch Black- I can not tell a huge diffference between these but I love them for their smokeyness and they are so very easy to take, I think I like London Brown out of all them followed closely by Scotch Black. Bernards - I got the Postillion, Brasil Doppelt-Fermentiert, and Virginie. I must say I like the Virginie the least. Too barnyardy for me, but the others are amazing. Not an all day snuff but will keep around for ease of use and overall quality. Plus no matter how hard I sniff, half of it ends up on the floor. I got a few others but they werent special in any aspect. My problem is I have so much good snuff now I am so confused as to what to take with me each day. I usually only carry one or two tins at most because using snuff at work and school can be a probelm as I almost always have to get a good blow in and standing in the bathroom to use snuff destroys the great aromas and just doesnt really feel right. I usually take a toast, easier to use out of a bullet and not messy and usually doesnt make my nose run like the moister snuffs do. I also take either the Bernards or one of the SGs because I love how I can not over sniff these and the nic is great for me too. However, blowing huge coffee grind or crumb cake boogers can be an issue when I am in the middle of waiting on a table at work and my nose feels like its about to flood. How do you guys handle day to day rotations when you have a nice selection to choose from. Also, with those three SGs I got, KB, London Brown, and Scotch Black, which do you all prefer and why? I feel that the Scotch Black is the smokiest, that London Brown has the best all around natural flavor, and KB is a slight mix of the two with a little extra I cant quite put my finger on. God I love this hobby,lol
Yes, variety is nice and it is hard to choose exactly what is in your snuff box. So just line them up in any order. Add just enough to carry for work time so you don’t run out. when at home sample what ever is in rotation, It starts gettting complicated when you get over a hundred, So some snuff become seasonal like schmalzler reserved for cooler weather. If some snuff make your nose run follow it up with one that doesn’t. when you get blocked up use a medicated snuff. for dessert use a nose candy snuff and then you get board with one type switch to the opposite spectrum.And of course there are constantly new snuffs to try. I lean towards the brutal side then switch to something exotic, then back to plain. And read whats in your nose thread to revisit snuffs I had not sampled for some time. If you like smokey ;grind up some latakia tobacco. Eventually you will have a method for your madness!
Funny, i experienced American Scotch before F&T HDT, and i have to say, i found HDT buttery and smooth, not smokey at all. I can’t really stand the smokey. For some reason, it seems to pollute my fingers. As far as work goes, i bring a backpack of my favorites- it totals almost 20+ smash boxes. I must admit, i work in a very forgiving enviroment- understanding coworkers and laidback duties. For your situation, i would recomend a strong snuff, packed nostrils, and a quick-clearing blow.
