Gerber folding box cutter style money clip, I am hell on blades and buy the serrated contractors blades by the hundred pack. This knife gets used all the time and takes a licking. I turn the blade around on Monday, Thursday, then replace following Monday. Best knife ever. I might open a hundred small boxes in a day, or strip a hundred wires. Otherwise I rotate my collection of forbidden blades. I carry a Microtech hidden action full Carbon fiber automatic most often. Clever bit of engineering that one - Push the top of the scale sideways to deploy. No one can figure that one out.
Just got a couple of the Kershaw/Emerson knives. I got the 4K and 8K, the 4 is a 3.25" frame lock and the 8 is a 3.75" liner lock with a tanto point and chisel grind. Both are centered well and the action and finish is great, especially considering these are inexpensive imports. The 4 came razor sharp and the 8 needed a bit of work on the stones to get it hair popping but that is no big deal. This is my first time trying any knife with the Emerson Wave feature and it works well and is very cool. Also the 8 is my first knife with a chisel grind so I am interested to see how I will like it, so far it really is not too different from cutting with a V grind but I am sure I will have to adjust when cutting through different materials. Another thing different on these are the hardware is a flathead for the pivot and #1 Phillips for the scale screws as opposed to most makers using torx bits. I think this is how real Emersonās are made and it would be great if other makers did this too. All in all these are two great knives that are well priced and fun to boot. Looking forward to checking out the others in this series.
Kershaw makes a decent knife. Mine:
@Mouse Yes Kershaw does make a lot of nice knives. The Skyline IMO is one of their best. It is very comfortable and extra light, plus I really like the spear point. I used to carry a Blur a lot but I get more utility out of my Vic Soldier 111mm so that is my usual work knife.
I got the Enzo from above today and I really love it! I did however feel the need to do some small mods though; I promtly removed the clip and I also felt that the corner of the blade, sticking out when the knife is folded, was quite edgy. So I did some wet & dry on it. Now it rides smooth & loose in my back pocket and for the time beeing I really feel I have found my perfect EDC knife.
Spyderco. I remember buying a paramilitary green g10 handle for 145 and sold it 300 right after. ( was a limited edition from knife works ) They sell like crazy. I need to get myself one to keep
Case sodbuster that was my Grampaās - right pants pocket. Small buck āGentlemanās Knifeā left pants pocket. Boot knife - left boot. I would keep it in the right, but it makes the backup .40 compact chafe my calf when they are on the same side together
I never leave the house without a Swiss Army knife, Victorinox. I have several and keep one in my pocket, one in my gym bag, one in my back pack and one in the car. My favorite, I never take anywhere. A friend gave it to me about 30 years ago and it has a antler handle. Iāve never seen another like it.
I have my Leatherman Wave in my desk at work or in my bag, a Victorinox Classic SD on my keychain, and I alternate between a Ken Onion Kershaw, or a Victorinox Tinker in my pocket (depending what I am wearing.)
i have my gerber dime multitool on my keys, and for not carrying (due to uk laws) i have a cheap locking smith & wesson, a transparent victorinox climber, and (somewhere) a victorinox alpineer. that enzo looks great @havregryn, but i have to say id probably want to do the same as you with the stuck out bit and i like having a post on the blade so i can open my knife one handed (though as i understand that would make it illegal over here for carry)
Victorinox Jelly Manager - used daily
Case Doctorās
I have a pretty large collection, Iāve been carrying and using knives as long as I can remember. As Iām typing this, I have a limited edition (118 out of 200) Doug Ritter Mini RSK MK1 in M4 steel in my back pocket and a Spyderco Tasman Salt in my front pocket.
My trusty Leatherman Wave - Iād rather forget my pants than my Leatherman!

My EDC pocket knife is the 8.7" gerber Covert tactical folder with one hamd opening. Very, very durable blade, itās held up to a lot of submarines.
