I never leave the house with out my Case Sodbuster Sr. in it’s pouch on my belt.
Unfortunately here in the UK one cannot carry a knife with a blade longer than 3 inches and it has to be a folding knife. Criminals seem to carry whatever they wish but law abiding systems cannot.
That should have read “citizens” rather than “systems.” Too much work on my mind. Is there any way of editing incorrect comments? I cannot find any such facility.

That’s how it is here in Canada too
We have open carry laws in my area. If you’re in public, you just need to have the weapon (guns, knives, swords, etc) visible from at least three sides of your body (typically you see hip-carried pistols and knives). If you want to conceal something without a license, I think our area is 4" and it must fold. Even automatic/butterfly knives are fine. The area is rural enough that you may have a need for a gun (coyote, dogs, snakes if you farm/ranch south of town) so there has been no objection to it at all. Automatic knives are preferred by most farmers/ranchers because it’s a one-hand opening deal, which can be handy if you need to cut yourself (or something else) free that keeps one arm occupied. Quick access to an automatic knife has saved more than one hand/arm from bailers and other machinery. **Edit** I just looked it up and the limit is 2.5" in this state. I think most of the people in this county could be busted if they did a raid. hahaha
Spyderco harpie rip-off, but really well made and used every day for something or other, one handed opening with the blade stud. I have a few really good folders and others around the place and I use a Swiss army a lot.

@Dogwalla I love your comment. We can only carry a small penknife and you can carry “guns, knives, swords, etc” so long as they are visible. The swords bit sounds good enough - I dread to think what the etc might cover. It is good to know that the entire world had not gone politically correct. You have made my evening.
My pipe tool is the only knife I carry. I own many knifes for all types of use. But I never needed to use one in a self defence situation. Here’s a cheap, one use knife!
I carry either an Emerson CQC-8 or a Bear and Sons razor knife. It is not a razor blade the blade is shaped like a razor.
I don’t have much need for a knife day-to-day, but I usually carry a case baby doc for opening packages, letters, etc.
if and when i carry its a sog para-tool but i have a swiss-tech utili-key on my keyring at all times. i know where your coming from @roderick iv’e been stopped coming back from a hunt and the cop woz more worried about a knife handle poking out of a back pack pouch than the bloody big gun bag and gun that i woz puting in my carboot at the time,
all I gots is a great big chefs knife. Love that freakin wusthoff.

Can I join in? I carry a swiss Victorinox in my bag and nearly always have a hairstick holding up my hair, ( which if needed in an emergency is probably pointy enough). I have often thought maybe I should invest in some hair armoury

@dazz34 I’ve got a sog that I carry when I go into an appropriate area. That damned thing is indestructible. It’s the best knife I’ve ever scored from the abandoned belongings of a felon.
