Patrick Collin's snuffboxes?

He seems to be out of stock. When I exchanged email, he said he “may” make more in the near future. But he sounded like he was also quite busy with other projects.

Thank you @jakartaboy

I love my tripletech box but as i never use the spoon or even know anyone who does could that not be dropped so we can have a single box that will carry more snuff and still have the hole so it can be tapped out please

Patrick currently has some snuff boxes for sale on his website. There are also 2 tripletechs on the site but they are sold. But he is still making the tripletechs just not very many! http://www.woodensnuffbox.com/shop/category\_S/Snuffboxes.html?sessid=1lH7cEI8PYqYclfsyIZ6SymsY4QpTzYS3rYMbJXB31X47K0WZIdSkmOrRrF12fmp&shop\_param=cid%3D%26

I’ve just looked, and the tripletechs are not marked as sold - perhaps he’s put two more up. Grab 'em quick, folks!

Wow. Congrats @The_HP! That is great! Glad to see I was wrong! I thought they were both sold because I bought them both and they came to my door last Friday!

Interestingly when I bought mine I used Paypal, and initially I got an email that said inventory would have to be verified, then about 2 hours layer I got one that said it was in stock and would be shipped.

I like the spoon and use it, if you’ll forgive me, in a pinch.

Got an email this morning that it is shipped - I REALLY hope to get it before going out of town for the weekend - if not, it should be waiting on me when I get home

@The_HP, hope you enjoy it. I’ve just put in for two more myself, a single and a double, just to give it a try. The single has the American Indian Head penny on it, which more or less obliges me to use it for an American Scotch. When you get yours, take the advice not to use it for moist snuffs seriously, it really does warp the box. It’s best for unscented toasts and other very dry snuffs, like the White Indians.

Mine arrived yesterday - I just finished loading it with some of @chefdaniel‌ 's Old Mill Butternut Toast for its virgin filling.

That one got lonely, so I bought it a friend . Filled with Covent Sandlewood for virgin filling.

My double turned up the other day. It’s pretty good. The compartments would be a bit too small for a pincher with big fingers, but if you use a spoon, it’s great. Mine will probably be pretty much loaded with HDT on one side and with an Indian White on the other. That’s about 75% of my daily snuff intake, so I’m good to go with one box.

That is nice - I have eyed a few myself. I REALLY would love to see the single, with a tap door and hole. That I would get a half dozen of in short order.

My tripletech is on its way.

@gravel‌! I was eyeing that tripletech! Lol. Ahh I was humming and haring to get it or not and now they’re all gone. Quite popular indeed, you snooze you loose. :frowning:

@joelS‌, keep your eye on the site, there may be more soon. @The_HP‌, I agree about the idea of a no-spoon tap box, but I’m not sure about half a dozen. Much as I like these boxes, I’m not convinced that it’s a good idea to leave snuff in them for much longer than a few days, unless they are very dry AND unscented. I think that’s what would happen if you had lots of them. In fact, I almost always use mine for toasts and such, and plastic for special snuffs like SWS.

I would like to have them to dedicate to a type of snuff per box, as it were. For example, the design and look of the latest one seems, to me, to fit the snuff I put in it - Sandlewood. SO I would love to dedicate that box to that snuff, load it only when in the mood for it, but to make it that snuff’s primary vessel. As for capacity, I am finding that one of these loaded 3/4 full is a good day and a half supply for me.

Too bad Patrick doesn’t make a box out of sandalwood. I have 6 of his boxes and have to admit snuff often sits in them for too long. If I were disciplined 5 of them would be sitting empty but dedicated, but I am not.
