Here’s an updated photo of the snuffboxes that I have available. Sorry I’m out of the zebrawood and lacewood.
Lol, I was thinking of getting both a zebrawood and a lacewood. Oh well, that canarywood looks pretty nice. BTW, I must have been using the walnut one for 9 months or so now and it is still perfect. I have had it filled with Tom Buck since I got it and judging by the amount of empty TB tins I have lying around it has had an incredible amount of use. Also, I was in the pub a couple of weeks ago with two (possibly three) of your boxes and they did a couple of rounds of the table with plenty of oohs and ahhs. Nobody ever wants to try the snuff but at least they like the boxes.
I have the mahogany (filled with SP), pakauk (filled with Schmalzler), and the walnut (filled with Toque Espresso at the moment)
When will you have the zebrawood boxes again?
Can’t say for sure. Tried a new hardwood source today. Looked fantastic on their website but it turned out to be a very small operation. Basically a farmhouse with some storage sheds. They didn’t have any zebrawood or anything that caught my attention. At my usual source even someone that isn’t into woods like I am can’t help but walk down the aisles and let out some oohs and aahs. Oh well. So I can’t make any promises if/when I’ll have more zebrawood boxes. I did keep one for myself that I made back in June but I managed to lose it. For a while I thought I must have accidently sent it to someone…used, abused and with snuff in it but I don’t think that was the case since no one ever mentioned receiving a pre-loaded snuff box. On the plus side it does give me incentive to make more.
Well if you ever want madrone, manzanita or manzanita root, dogwood, maple, locust, apple, plum, cherry, pear, california buckeye or black walnut wood let me know. I’ve got those in abundance. I’ve got some great black walnut crotches that I’ve had set aside for a while with some great grain but they are quite big & could be cut down. Ive got some good oak burls out at the ranch. From the size of a basketball to the size of a VW Bug. I had some real nice black walnut burls but already sold those.

I have one of the doubole compartment snuff boxes from onefortheroad. I was excited when I bought it, now I just can’t use it. It ruined every snuff I placed in there. For example, I thought carrying a menthol (mchrystal’s O&G) and a non menthol Wilson’s Best SP in the same box would make for the perfect road companion. But the 2 flavors just ended up contaminating each other with flavor. Inevitably, the top of the box would gather just enough snuff that when you slid it to one side to expose one flavor the top of the box which was covering the flavor you are about to snuff is directly over the other snuff. Traces of O&G would soon contaminate the SP and vice versa when opening and closing to get to the snuffs… A great idea, but in my opinion not technically viable, unless you like mixed flavors…
Patrick I’d like to get a zebrawood one and maybe a few others from you, please put me on your backlist. I’d also like spalted maple if you can get some.

I’m hoping Patrick will get some of the original woods back. I’d like to buy a few boxes from him.
