Snuff & the boxes are a little ‘moreish’ everytime I take a snuff delivery my wife says ‘Oh no, not more snuff’ and I say ‘I won’t be ordering any more for a while as I have loads now’ a few days later i’m back on the net ordering more which is crazy because I have enough to literally keep me going for months…whats wrong with me??? lol Those boxes are lovely, its so hard to come by decent snuff boxes these days that don’t cost an arm and a leg.

@Snufecker- you’re welcome, enjoy! @Lazarus- Thanks for the compliment. I’ve gone through the same thing with my wife’s looks when I order tons of snuffs and stuff. I’ve been putting off an order to snuffstore just to put some distance between orders. To make things worse I’ve been getting car parts too. @kunugaa- glad you like your snuff boxes from snuffstore. Just wondering if you figured out why this person squeezed your snuffbox. I’m guessing alcohol was involved? Why don’t people think?
I am kind of puzzled about what people say they find on Ebay? I have quite a collection of boxes bought on Ebay, and I always talk to the seller first to clarify if the box goes for the collection or into my pocket. I have bought many silver snuff boxes on Ebay which are perfectly snuff tight and certainly not “beat up” looking. Of course a silver box is more expensive than a plastic or wooden box. But that can hardly come as a surprise, since you pay for the craftmanship as well as the material used. I love snuff boxes and will go to great lentghs and high prices to get the right box, since the satisfaction of using a really good silver snuff box is amazing. And it is certainly not true that silver snuff boxes are worse than other materials. That is definitely a myth! I also love wooden boxes, and have one from “onefortheroad” that I sometimes use at work. But please don’t down the silver boxes! :o) Ciao, VIking.

Mine hasn’t arrived yet, starting to get the cold sweats now! lol To be honest its probably best it hasn’t got here yet as I’m still trying to decide which snuff to ‘Baptise’ the box with! Its a big decision which i’d hate to rush! ;o)
I got mine in on Saturday if I remember correctly. Lovely boxes, they already have been put to use.
Mine also arrived on Saturday. Very nice indeed! One is currently empty. The other has Wilson’s Best Dark in it.

Very dry Amanitamusc ;o) Onefortheroad I was just wondering how long does it take you on average to make one of your excellent boxes?
Too long. Honestly, I haven’t really pinned down an average yet. I bounce around doing this and that and typically work on several at a time. It’s hard to keep track of the time spent on a particular box.

My box arrived today - padauk round, absolutely superb in every way and will get a lot of use. If you are thinking about getting one you just can’t be dissapointed: the price and quality are exceptional
