Good news: I have located a source for Magnet. With luck we will have some on our fair shores in a couple of weeks. Only 25g containers unfortunately, but a whole lot better than 0g containers. Dave
Magnet Peach used to be freely available in SA until about 5 months ago. Since then, no stock at all. I’ve asked the distributor and all he could say is: “No stock available”. Hard to believe as this snuff is manufactured in SA. I love Magnet Peach because I use it as a mixer with Taxi Red.
yes
Pieter speaks the truth. Magnet Peach + Taxi Red = South African Delight
I forgot to mention: magnet now in stock. Dave
I only see the Menthol though. Last I checked.
again I really hope you still have some in stock when I make my next order. I really love this snuff. Good kick unique scent. Never had another snuff where the tobacco smelled like that and the menthol is more seasoning then medicine kind of like sparrow cool but more menthol then that.
I have got the information that Magnet Spearmint and Magnet Peach is no longer manufactured
Hooray!!
Actually, I’m sorry for the people that liked it.
After receiving a sample in an order from snuffstore.de, I’m completely addicted to Magnet Menthol - quickly replacing O&G as my EDC (in a little smashbox instead of the 25g plastic tin). The menthol is very strong, but as bob says, it doesn’t smell anywhere near medicine, it’s more something like a menthol cigar if such a beast should exist (I hope not).
Hmm, never had this, and it sounds good by your description. A menthol cigar doesn’t sound bad either.
The store I worked at sold menthol domestic machine-made cigars. No one ever bought them.
They have menthol cigars at my local cigar shop. I haven’t tried them. The shop wants me to use my $75.00 credit so maybe this week, as they don’t have decent snuff. Magnet? I’ll be looking this up shortly.
The stores around here carry “Vaquero” “Little Cigars” in menthol…like 90 cents a pack. I’m afraid to try them, even for that price. Pic of presumably nasty smokes.I want to try Magnet…Some reviewers have written that it is yucky, but that gives me all the more reason to see for myself.
@matsnuffs 90 cents a pack??!! Even if I didn’t like them, I would force myself to. One of my guilty pleasures is Black ‘N’ Mild Wine flavour. Just one of those costs that much.
@matsnuffs: it *is* yucky, in a way, but that’s really kind of the point. The tobacco is so rough (not the grind, that’s really very fine except for some mysteriously larger bits) and the menthol is so strong that you can’t really expect to like it at first. Except that, in a couple of minutes after the horrible first pinch, there comes the “memory” of the pinch, and it is really rather awesome. It’s spicy, full of body and soul, and sinus-cleansing as anything. To be honest, after the first pinch I was about to throw the .5g sample away. But I didn’t, and in ten minutes I was back at it, and then again and again. And then I ordered two 25g tins in two different orders, since I wanted to be sure to have it for my birthday!
Interesting. This one, and Wilson’s SA Top Mill really intrigue me. I had WSA Top Mill and I think Magnet in my last order, but removed them at the last minute.
