If their sole intention is to make a profit then of course. I see many pushing their products for sale. I don’t subscribe to many for the fact I am quite deaf. So you have me at a disadvantage
I still haven’t had much time to look into the original video @yisraeldov linked, but the tone of the comments does seem a bit extreme. If I understand him correctly, he’s suggesting taking the opportunity to monetize something one would already do–so no need to put yourself out or exert any extra labor to line somebody else’s pocket. Seems pretty symbiotic to me since both parties are coming out ahead.
Then again, I just read the entire Introduction thread (at 191 pages…) and my mind might be a bit fried. Also, I realize that I never did post there, as I mainly lurk around these parts, so maybe I’ll jog over there to give an official howdy-do.

I too feel that yisraeldov’s post was taken totally out of context.
To me, it said this:
If you use an image hosting site then this is a good one to use because they pay you for bringing visitors to their site. Simple as that really. Loads of forums require the use of off site image hosting sites like photobucket, imigur etc, because they don’t have the facilities/server capacity to host the pictures themselves. The more traffic visits the site then the higher the price advertisers will pay to advertise on that site. If anything, I’d applaud the site for being willing to share some of that profit, however meager it may be. You click the picture, it brings you to the hosting site to view the picture in better detail, and the uploader gets a small reward and, in time, the hosting site generates more revenue.
I fail to see where intellectual theft and/or copyright infringement enters the picture to be honest. The uploader chose that site to upload his/her pictures to, the site is rewarding you for that choice. It could be a pet forum where you post a few pictures of your goldfish, or a medical forum where you show people the ants in your pants, or a food forum where you share a picture of the chip on your shoulder even. It just so happens the man’s interest lies in snuff, and he plans to spend his coin at Mr. Snuff.

Thanks, I was really just hoping that people would share more pictures of their snuff and earn some bitcoin, and then use those bitcoins to buy from Mr.Snuff ( at a discount ).
I’m really happy that Mr.Snuff started taking bitcoin and I heard that Toque might start as well. Hopefully now that this thread has started becoming less controversial, people might start taking advantage.
To be honest I don’t use image hosting sites for security reasons, and I do feel that posting mundane pictures willy nilly all over the place is a bit spammy too. I just felt that your post was taken out of context and you were being vilified, two things I don’t agree with!
Business tip: when you link the pictures to a forum, make them small like thumbnails, then I’d have to click them if I want to see in better detail 
@dan11 I’m really trying not to be spamy so I’d be happy if you call me out on it if you feel like I’m crossing the line.
I do post thumbnails that link back to the larger picture, but at the same time, I don’t want to force people to leave the forum to see what I got. So I put one medium picture of everything, and then smaller pictures that link back to the thumbnails, file.army makes that really easy.
I agree that the post was taken out of context, but I don’t think I was being vilified, I just touched a nerve in some people and ignited, by accident, their ranting.

watched the video. its just silly. 0.00000151 is such a small amount. you would have to spam a lot of threads to make any money. 0.00000151 is a fraction of a penny in u.s dollars. even hundreds of clicks is still maybe a few cents. its just plain silly
