Heck…I still have my first 10 gram tin of Dr. Rumneys Mentholyptus snuff that I purchased over 40 years ago. But its been empty for the past 39 1/2 years. 
So one of the snuffs I have is a pleasant floral scent, and the other one is some kind of dirt scent. I think they put something else in their hookah when they formulated that one.
Indians are not known for using Hookah.
You probably have Pitamberdas Anadji Mehta Sugandh Sagar Rose Snuff and Jayaram & Rathnakumar’s T.A.S. Rathnam Madras Snuff. These have been known to turn up in Indian stores in the US.
Hm. Well I definitely need to try some other varieties.
However, it is reported that the hookah was invented in India, and for smoking none other than… their hashish.
That must be when they formulated this nice dirt scented snuff.
