Hi everybody, I thought I’d share a technique I figured out that really helps for taking extremely dry, fine snuff. I haven’t heard anybody else mentioned this, but if somebody has already come up with this let me know so I can credit them. Anyway, last night I was attempting to take some extremely dried out but still pleasantly scented Jaxon’s High Drive. No matter what I did, I always got a throat hit. Then I remembered that my doctor told me some years ago that I could stop nosebleeds by pinching the middle of the nose. I tried taking it while partially closing the middle of the nose. Voila! How to do it: I take snuff off of the back of my hand, but it should work with pinching as well. Using the opposite hand from the one you are holding your snuff with, feel along your nose. You will notice up top there is a bony part, followed by a fleshy part, followed by your nostrils. Pinch your nose just below the bony part. I recommend pinching both sides evenly. Take a breath through and adjust pressure until you get a slightly constricted airflow. Now snuff as you normally would. The snuff will land in just the right place due to the bottleneck! Anyways, hope this helped somebody out.
Excuse the errors, I can’t find the edit button on my phone.
Fantastic! Sounds like a genius idea @AlbertaSnuff, I will be trying this today
@AlbertaSnuff Nice. It can be named the “twin pinch” method: One of snuff and the other on the nose… :))
hmm i will definately have to give this a shot when i use my scotches, thanks!!

Great name!
When I glanced at the title of this post I thought it said “picking” instead of pinching… brings a whole new meaning to recycling!
Thanks @AlbertaSnuff, gave this an experiment last night with non other than 41P White Elephant. Absolutely no question it definitely constricts the flow through the nose. It will take a bit of getting used to; correct pressure and correct inhalation, but I think it’s a definite winner for extremely dry snuffs!

Yeah, it takes a bit of practice, but it really works. Glad I could help!
Brilliant, After using nasal snuff for over 60 years, I thought I’d tried everything except an IV! For anyone having trouble using the fine dry snuffs, this method is a winner! IMHO of course. Regards,
just started, so I read and it’s a really great way. thanks so much…

many thanks. I smoked 4 packs of cigarettes every day. At the end I could not breathe. There are 10 smoke cigarettes now. I will leave it. I wish I knew before snuff.Thank you very much for what you taught me.
